This line is short for the starting pitching gap. Williams has already handled this Royals lineup, holding them to a .167 average .252 wOBA with below-average contact quality across the board. Kansas City isn't creating lift or consistent damage, and when Williams is efficient, Cleveland let's him push into the sixth - ideal for a F5 window. Kolek, meanwhile, is making his season debut off an oblique injury and didn't miss bats on rehab. Against this lineup, he's allowed a .365 xwOBA with minimal strikeout ability. That's a bad profile facing a contact-driven Cleveland offense. Early innings lean heavily one way. This number doesn't reflect it.

. Agree with everything you said. I'm going full game at -111 since i don't think it gets any better if KCs bullpen with the 4th worst era gets a lot of action. First game this season off an injury adds a lot of what ifs to the kolek equation.
