This number is still lagging behind the true gap on the mound. Fried brings an elite groundball profile and sub-1.00 WHIP into a matchup against a Baltimore lineup that's hitting just .230 vs lefties - that's a bad combo when your offense relies on lift and power. On the other side, Gibson's 1.62 Triple-A WHIP is the red flag. Too many baserunners against this Yankees lineup usually snowballs fast. Add in New York's current form (16-6 run differential last two games) and a thin Orioles bullpen, and this sets up as a multi-run script more often than not. The market hasn't fully priced that in yet.
