ATLANTA +102 (2 units) - Kyle Lohse
is much better at home but I still like to fade this guy for the time being. He
has posted only 2 K's in his last two starts and the Bravers' hitters have
success off him hitting a collective .300. Tim Hudson is off to a sharp start
with three successive games of two runs allowed each time. His one of the best
pitchers in the majors at avoiding the long ball having allowed just 26 over the
past 3+ years covering 427 innings and that is important when facing
Pujols-Holiday-Ludwick. The Braves face Carpenter, Garcia and Wainwright the
next 3 days so this is the game the Braves really need to
win.
SAN FRANCISCO +144 (1.5 units) - While everyone is swallowing Halladay viagra, this line is out of whack.
Quite frankly, Jonathan Sanchez has even better numbers in his last two starts
than Roy. In his last two, Sanchez has thrown 15 innings and allowed just 4 hits
and 1 run with a 21:6 K:BB ratio. The Phils' top hitters don't hit as well
against left-handers. Runs will be hard to come by but I see no reason why
Sanchez can't match Halladay and at this line,. it's a must play for
me.
DETROIT +130 (1.5 units) - Matt
Harrison came off the flu in his last start and was bombed for 3 HR's and 6 runs
in 4 innings. Last year he faced the Tigers twice and tossed 10 2/3 innings and
got lit up to the tune of 18 hits, 9 runs, 3 HR's and a 5:& K:BB ratio.
Bonderman's overall stats look horrific due to the massacre 2 back in Seattle
but in his other two starts, he allowed just 3 hits and 3 runs on the road
against the Angels and in his first start, he allowed just 1 hit and 1 run in 5
innings against the Indians.
METS +120 (1.25 units) - Dodgers laying juice on the road against a lefty after being shut out by Scott Olsen and pen yesterday and now batting 40 points with an OPS of 212 points lower against lefties???
KANSAS CITY +158 (1 unit) - Davies has allowed 3 runs or less in 8 of his L10 starts and KC is 8-2 in those games. That's a big price for Felix to pay on the road.
CLEVELAND + 178 (1
unit) - Huff has been solid so far. Weaver is sharp but still gives up a homer every 5.2 innings. Sizemore, Peralta, Choo, Grudzielanek and Valbuena are a combined 29 for 74 (.392) with 3 HR's off Weaver.
