no more paying too much juice for me! promise.  if i don't think a team is capable of winning by 2, i shouldn't be betting them. period.

Orioles stayed under TT after 4 in first 2 innings. Tough loss. The correct play was game total over. Arrieta just is a bad starter.

Was a great dog day today, on a few accounts.
Tampa bats heating up. Yankees pen still bad. I think we are seeing a shift in the AL west, maybe east as well.

Here's what Ive got for today...

Taking the A's, won the last 8 meetings with Boston.  Griffin 1-0, 2.08 era against Red Sox.  A's hit lefties well, .299 this season and have a better bullpen.  Like the Dbacks,  hit righties .271 Giants only hitting .244 against lefties.  better bullpen era.  Also taking Indians.  Masterson is hot right now sporting a 1.67 era thus far.  White Sox hitting just .225 vs righties.

Under 8.0 MIN Twins - MIA Marlins -120

That's a lot of juice, I know, but this seems like a solid play tonight.  The Twins are playing some good ball and Correia has been their best pitcher so far this season.  He's gone 7 innings each of his first three starts, never allowing more than 3ER.  Against an awful Marlins lineup he should cruise.  Nolasco is no slouch either, he has a decent ERA, just doesn't get any run support.  Two of the lowest scoring teams in MLB playing in the cold seems like a recipe for a low scoring game.

I make these picks knowing there's virtually no chance of this game being played.  More snow and rain are hitting MSP tonight.  But if they play, it should be a low-scoring Twins win.

Just unlucky yesterday...Yanks had lead and bullpen (again!) couldn't hold...Detroit had their chances...just gave up the long ball at the worse time...Rockies fell apart at end...crazy!  Time to move on...

MIN Twins -1.5 +140

The Twins are on a roll, their last loss was on Sat 4/13 against Harvey and the Mets (a lot of teams will be losing to Harvey this year).  The Twins then went 8 days which included 4 wins, 1 day off and 3 PPD.  They are well rested and at home against the struggling Marlins.  ML juice is too high, will play the run line for awesome value.

HOU Astros TT under 3.5 -135

King Felix has a 1.21 ERA during night games, he has only given up more than 3.5 runs once this year.  Houston has scored more than 3.5 runs only 8 times this year and have struggled against great pitchers (CJ Wilson, Darvish, Ogando, Saunders).  Expecting Felix to shut down the Astros who are batting .250 and only averaging 3.05 runs per game. 

PIT Pirates ML -112

Pettibone getting his first start against the surging Pirates.  They first swept Cincy a week ago, then split a 2 game series against the Cards...then won 3 of 4 from the Braves who was arguable playing the best ball in all of MLB.  Their BA and OPS are coming around after starting the year 1-5, they have since gone 9-3...Burnett is pitching lights out.  Great value on the ML

Oakland has been killing lefty's so far this season, and now they are facing a lefty that they have had success against in the past.Emotional rollercoaster from the week-end and a tiring double header will have the A's scoring on Doubront and the sox pen.

Wood struggled last season at great american and I see him struggling to shut down the reds bats who are killing lefty's right now.

I like this pick washhead, but I can't play it.  You have to be wary about this Marlins' bullpen.  Near last or last in almost every pitching stat.  They give up a 5.23era/1.52whip on the season!  So many times this year a Marlins game is like 1-1 or 2-1 or somthing midway and ends up 10-2.  That, plus they coming off a lot of innings vs Reds.  It will be a tough one tonight if Nolasco gets in trouble.  Good luck and I hope you cash
