Those days are over, dude has been sober for 15+ years now. Thank God he never hurt anyone and that we can still laugh about his stories today.

I have a similar one. Back in the 1950's, when DUI was not so seriously regarded, my dad drank at a bar 5 blocks from home. Straight shot, parking on the street, car aimed in the right direction, no problem. He also drove about 5 mph when plastered (good for him). So one night a cop pulls him over, asks for his license, reads it and says "Mr. C___, do you really think you should be driving in your condition?" My old man looks up at him and says "Officer. I have to, I can't possibly walk!" So, the cop chuckles, follows him two more blocks home and my old man parks the car, walks up on the porch, waves at the cop, goes in, and that is the end of that. It also did not hurt that my old man was Irish in a neighborhood full of Irish cops, TRUE STORY.

The people that think sports are the only thing in he world thats not corrupt are the gullible ones. We call these leagues "sports" bit in fact they are a business. Their business is entertainment and they can legally fix any games they want to. Now if an outside bookie bribed a player or ref then hell yes thats illegal. But if the nba tells their refs to let the lakers beat the kings or if the nfl pushes certain storylines, its completely legal and legit. Most people dont know that anything classified as entertainment is wide open
