The Padres have to lose tonight. They have gone from +110 to -138 today. Do the books absorb the hit or "fix" the game?

Posey is the Giants best hitter...Hitting over .300....He's worth easy 30-40 cents especially the way the Giants offense is...

No need to fix the game(if games can even be fixed), although the line move is drastic the handle is small. The books can absorb the lopsidedness.

Not a lot of MLB interest these past few weeks with NCAAFB and pre season and now real NFL, coupled with many MLB bettors having a tough season dropping out... MLB lines are all over the place with just a little money. It doesn't take much to move the line IMHO.

A book's exposure is probably higher on a reg season NBA game with 60%-40% handle split.

C'mon Dave...1 hitter out of 18 ain't moving a line that much. Or out of 16 let's say for the NL.

People who think ths games are fixed are idiots, seriously. I would try to be more diplomatic in my opinion but its just the truth. It hurts the head to hear them explain how and why theyre fixed, then when it doesn't work out they say it was fixed the other way.

People who think this have never been a part of any professional sports organization in any capacity and are NEVER winning bettors.

Their best argument they have for games being fixed even with the mountains of evidence against them is "cuz I know they are." It is seriously the ugly bitter side of gambling. The losers way of blaming someone other than themselves for their piss poor management. Like the guy who gets a dui and blames the cop

There is ZERO chance Posey is worth 40 or 50 points

I don't think some of the posters read the underlying humor in my O.P. Who on this site believes in "the fix" less than I do? Have some fun gentlemen, but don't take what I said as a prediction.

I guess that NBA ref never went to jail for fixing games...or soccer officials fired from jobs, or college players being dismissed from school, or college losing scholarships....youre right none of that ever happened

Seriously, no offensive/position player is worth more than a nickel in line value and two key players out is worth about 15 cents, combined. Only pitching can move a line 40 cents.

Donaghy didn't go to prison for fixing game, go read the FBI report. Other countries sports I couldn't care less about.

But yes, there have been like 5 people in 30 years caught trying to fix college games, so that must mean every professional American sport is fixed right?

This is what I'm talking about, its friggen ridiculous

Of course not...but people who claim sports fixing doesnt happen sound worse than claim it does....its been proven, multiple multiple times...

Who knows when, where, how often, why....fact is is been proven.  Obviously, the people who cry everytime they lose a bet the game is fixed sound like idiots...but the true idiots are the ones who fight them saying it doesnt happen...its been proven many many times

Let me know when a pro game is fixed and then I'll come to your side. Youre the guy who didn't even know Donaghy didn't go to jail for fixing games so really youre just talking out of your behind to be honest. Yet here you were saying he did, then trying to say I'm the idiot who doesn't believe games are fixed. Its just the LCD of bettors who think like this. By the way LCD means lowest common denominator.

Clueless losing gamblers talking out of their behind, have a good nite bud.

He went to jail for many reasons...giving tips about injured or sick players, and also admitting the NBA higher-ups would want certian games to have more fouls with star-players not fouling out...

I could care less what the "FBI Report" says...he went to jail for fixing NBA games

Key, I hope you're proud of yourself for firing up all these fix theory clowns. But I must admit, it makes for great reading if you enjoy comedy.

True story...My Pop had 3 DUI's in 2 years in the 80's, on his second one he made copies of the police report for future entertainment.

While he's going through the sobriety test the cop says "Jesus Christ you can barely walk" my dad then responds..."That's why I was driving"

Those days are over, dude has been sober for 15+ years now. Thank God he never hurt anyone and that we can still laugh about his stories today.
