Actually...I'm happy he got that bad start. Great pitchers bounce back from poor performances. CC is a great pitcher.

Look it up. Other than a rough patch that most pitchers go through in a season with 3-4 bad outings in a row...great pitchers have bounce back. Look at Lincecum, Halladay, Beckett, Lester, Greinke, Felix...they rarely string poor starts together.
And the Twins have momentum...yes...but they are also missing one of the biggest Yankee Killers in baseball in Justin Morneau.

The regular season may be over, but the postseason is where he'll thrive to bounce back. Trust me...watch this game and he'll get the job done.
Hey...you made the thread saying the Yanks will make the ALCS, are you doubting it now?

The thing is...the Tigers' roster is better fit for a 5 game series than the Twins'. The good thing is neither team is set up, rotation wise, to face the Yankees. So neither Verlander nor Baker would pitch Game 1. But...I would rather face Blackburn Game 1 than Jackson.
Blackburn:
4.70 ERA in 7.1 innings agains the Yanks this season.(6.00 ERA in 4 starts against them in his career) The Yanks also hit .316 v him. The Yanks also hit .308 v Baker. They don't hit Pavano well though(.243).
Jackson, on the other hand, has OWNED the Yankees this season. He's only given up 2 runs in 13 innings and the Yankees only hit .273 against him. The good news though is that that .273 is a bit misleading because Jeter, Matsui, A-Rod, Melky, Swisher and Posada all hit .300 against him...but not this season. I, personally, am much more nervous to see him on the mound for Game 1 than Blackburn because if he happens to shut the Yanks down again, then Verlander pitches against the Yanks on Friday and thats just BAD.

WOW...5 posts since 2000. Insane.
Anyway...how can you make that assumption that they will choke?

He's 0-4 in his only game with the Yankees in the playoffs.
In 20 plate appearances with the Angels, he has 7 hits and his hitting .467 with a .550 on base %. Only 1 RBI but 4 runs. How can you say he's not good in the playoffs? Such a small sample size where he has dominated.
