i really dont get why the fuck is weaver piching gm 2 and not kazmir. why not let this headcase matchup with another head case like bucholz. this can be costly for laa. i mean u have the sox down 1 already why not go for the juggernut win both gms at home with the red sox killer KAZMIR.

Weaver at Home: 2.90 ERA

Weaver on the Road: 4.78

Weaver v Red Sox in 2009: 13.2 innings... 0.66 ERA

 

They have good numbers against him but they have failed miserably this season.

 

Kazmir, since 2006 at Fenway: 3.18 ERA in 51 innings

Weaver since 2006 at Fenway: 7.06 ERA in 4 starts(21.2 innings)

 

You seriously have to do more research before you come up with this stuff.

yea fuentes sucks, thats the reason santana is going to be used more likely in the late inning roles this playoffs, not solely relying on fuentes. ur clearly a person that says hey he lead the league in saves hes obiviuosly nasty closer, your the one who has no clue look at his effciency , in other words read between the lines.

forget about that kazmir gott better stuff to combat the red sox with. if you have a chance to go up 2-0 in your park . you must do it. sox always have stuggled vs leftys as well. this decesion doesnt make sense. WEAVER VS BUCHOLZ IS A EVEN MATCHUP. were as BECKETT VS. WEAVER is lopsided

I wouldn't say "lopsided" but Weaver was indeed better.

Scioscia has more faith in Kazmir at Fenway than Weaver due to his recent success and overwhelming experience there cuz of his Tb days, etc. Thats all the decision is about.

Weaver game 2 at home is likely gonna be AS GOOD OR BETTER than Kazmir at home in Game 2 whereas Weaver in GAme 3 in Boston will be MUCH WORSE than Kazmir in game 3

So Scioscia can pretty much guarantee himself 3 lights out starting pitching games going Lackey, weaver, then Kazmir,

Or he can guarantee himself two good outings and 1 shaky one by going, Lackey, Kazmir, Weaver

Why should we be worried about the Angels? Didn't we beat them down the stretch? 4-1 if I remember correctly. Once the Yanks win tomorrow...they'll have momentum too. I've said it from the beginning...if the Angels finished with the best record in baseball...I'd be nervous. But if the Yankees had homefield advantage, they have got to be favorites to win this thing and they should win it. They are better now then they were in the past. The bullpen is more dominant. They have Gardner off the bench who will certainly want to redeem himself the rest of the playoffs for being doubled up. They are the better team and they will win the series. Why be scared?

OMG, dont you understand home field ADVANTAGE doesnt mean shit zippo when you have a team like the laa who has no fear at all of the mightyy nyy.the old yankee stadium was way tougher on road teams beacause of the noise etc. i beg to differ of whether this is the best yankee team we seen since they won it all. hughes didnt look too good the other night, and joba is not gonan pich evry night. and mo is not getting any younger. not sold on this yankee team is out of sudden is clutch, please who are you kiddin Nathan had that gm blown even before he stepped into the mound. tex hittin 500 vs him and so was arod. tex hittin a gamw winning homerun off the backend of a poor twins bullpen that has no confident they can beat the NYY. With all the lefties and switch hitters they have in that lineup, they are meant for that ballpark. Hughes may not have looked dominant in Game 2...but what about when he came up in Game 1 with 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd? Oh yea...STRIKE 3. And Joba may pitch every night. It's all or nothing now. Mo may not be getting younger but he is the best closer of all time and the best postseason reliever of all time. 119.2 innings pitched...0.75 ERA and he is having a better season now than in 2002. And what do you mean "all of a sudden clutch"? They have the most walkf-offs of the season. They have the most come from behind wins in the Majors. That statement is just as BS as your Kazmir/Weaver comparison. You really need to do research before you bring up these crazy stories. And finally...do you really think the Angels' bullpen is good?
