Not necessarily.  I'm convinced that there are many instances in which I'm much more concerned about the outcome of a game than the team I bet on is.

Why? Even with a loss today, they go 8-2 on their road trip. They have a 8 game lead in both the division and National League for best record. Home field for the World Series is already wrapped up because of the All Star game. Sure they will want to win 100 games for historical purposes, but safe to say, the Phils will lay a couple of eggs down the stretch.

I swear to God my uncle is the one who caused Derrick Rose to miss all those god-damn free-throws in the 2008 NCAA championship game. They were up 9 with 2:12 left and my uncle calls to tell me that the game is all locked-up. They then proceeded to miss a million free-throws in a row and that fucker Mario Chalmers drains a 3 at the end to send it into OT. I didn't even watch OT because I knew what had happened.

People are missing the point. Gilmo seems to have it, though. It's not whether or not he wins or loses. It's the fact that he said "This shit is literally TOO EASY...baseball is a joke sometimes with these lines".
