Zimmerman, Upton, and David Wright played on the same summer team before being drafted... Longoria and Tulo I played in college etc

Anyway, those 4 all came up around the same time when the Yankees built through the farm system and they had a great run. However, they are also all going to be HOFers and for you to expect the Yankees to produce 4 HOFers out of Cano, Hughes, Joba, Cervelli, Gardner or get the same produciton out of those players as the other 4 is ludicrous.

The Yankees got extremely lucky. Add Bernie to the mix as well. They had a great core come pu together who produced 4 HOFers. That is not going to happen again or anytime soon.

Also why does Hughes get a pass from you after sucking for his first 3 years. I always had his back and said he would better than overhyped Joba because I knew he had great stuff and just needed to work on a few things.

Gardner will be lucky to have a Johnny Damon career or even half that. Probably more like Pierre if he is lucky.

But by the way you go about the Orioles...you talk as if they're going to have 4 HOFamers coming up through their system now (Wieters, Matusz, Arrieta and Tillman). You talk so much about how these guys are going to make the O's competitors in the next few years.

And...for what it's worth...as I state time and time again...the Yankees have rebuilt their farm system over the years. They don't trade their best guys anymore. Aside from AJax, they haven't traded anyone special in years.

Pettitte is going to retire, most likely, with 100 wins over loses. Same as Mussina did 2 seasons ago. So far, if I'm not mistaken, nobody with 100 wins over loses has missed out on the HOF. But the HGH thing could hurt him.

And I agree. Since Cashman has been givin more power, he's kept more young guys. Instead of trading Melky and Hughes for Santana, they kept Hughes and he's on his 2nd season of greatly helping this team. Now they still have all their catchers including starters for their future like Nova, Banuelos McAllister, Bleich, Brackman, Noesi and Betances. However...I don't know when any of these guys will get their chance because the rotation isn't in need of improvements. And the last time the Yankees went into a season expecting the best from their young guys...they missed the playoffs in 2008.

Now I don't watch minor league games. I don't know what these guys have either. I just go by numbers and what I hear...but these guys are names that I remember and I do hope to see them in the future.

The Orioles and Yankees are far different teams...how in the world can any of you fools compare our players versus yours or our success? You shell the most money for the top free agents while the rest of the league takes the straglers...and to say anything about the way the Os are playing, they are barely signing free agents, because they are trying to groom their prospects right now.

If the yankees do not finish in first it is a major disapointment only because they were EXPECTED to win and they are EXPECTED to win because daddy buys the farm every year...

When was the last time you saw a northern team play in the college World Series??? SHOULD NCAA force recruits to stay in their respective regions... TO MAKE IT "FAIR"???

Should Nascar Make Jimmie Johnson drive with half a tank of gas, so that its "Fair" for the other drivers?

Should Roger Federer be forced to play tennis LEFTY, so that its "fair?"

SHould Tiger Woulds start ever Round of Golf +3 to make it "fair?"

The Lakers and Kobe Bryant have been to the Finals 50 % of the time since Kobe entered the league... Should Kobe only be allowed to play the first half to make it "fair?" (Oh which by the way the Yankees don'y make it to the World Series 50% of the time.)

Should the World Cup Force Brazil to play without a Goalie, to make it "fair?"

I can go on and on....BOTOM LINE, stop being a whining baby like Pero

How much time did it take you to come up with that one.....why don't you add in Peyton Manning has to throw from all passes from his left arm after he does twenty jumping jacks against the Ravens..yeah that's is fair...

I never said it was unfair....I said that the Yankees have a clear advantage over the rest of the league, especially teams like Baltimore.

If the Orioles had two - three solid veterans in their lineup or their rotation their prospects would be alot better than what we are seeing now. But of course they do not replenish their 'solid' veterans every year like the bronx boogers do....

My point here is that the orioles have very little protection in their lineup and their rotation...
