I don't remember your incarceration JEG, but mine was a real stretch of the imagination into political correctness. Maybe, around Covers, if you have not been boxed at least once you have not fully explored the mystery realm of - WTF? - L.C. is about as harmless and inoffensive as an old man can get. Maybe someone said something off-color-offensive about Nancy and he had to get up and punch the guy out.

 Yeh I looked at a few threads that he was in and one has the OP and LC both boxed, I could not see any reason for either one to be Boxed, but other than that nothing looks bad, but it could of been deleted but can not even think of something LC could say that would need to be deleted.He is not like you or sac after all, he is much more like me.WE ARE THE NICE GUYS.   

I got thrown in there for telling some guys not to make a play on a game because this Tout that sold picks had taken them as his 10,000 stars POD,I said they should go the other way, way back when there used to be sites that posted plays from any tout they could get, so the reason was that I posted a paid pick on covers which I did not know was against the rules or that they even had rules.

The thread that LC got boxed over has been moved to PB,its titled hey joe OSU got crushed,by da Bears as Author, LC and Author both got boxed but am not sure why LC, he just said something about the joe guy having other names on covers, da bears guy ripped him over and over, think LC was just in the wrong place at wrong time.

Should we go to Covers Help and play Lawyer for him or weeble has a thread in the hockey forum, really seemed like whoever boxed them just added LC without knowing him, da bears guy kept ripping heyjoe about how he lost on title game along with frank the tank, the names are great.

When LC gets out, let's tell him that the MLB banned the shift and lowered the mound. And the count shall start at 2-1 to speed up the game.

 I thought I heard 2-0, so the weaklings that are not going to hit it out of the park get out of the way with a walk and add to the RBI total for the "important" guys. "Launch Angle Larry" will have 250 ribbies this year. "Walkin Wally" will score 300 runs.

mlbDOTcom lists 7 prior CY starters as possible comebackers this year. Most teams are reputedly looking at them as "inning eaters". What the heck good does it do anyone if they can eat 10 innings a month (not a week)? Any role NOT connected to WNNING games is a wasted role and wasted money. What is the question? We gotta play 1,500 innings this year so who are going to be our inning eaters? Starters used to "eat" 1,000 of those innings (successfully) as a part of their regular job. Now it's a specialty?  

L.C. Please come back quickly, sanity is in short supply these days. I wonder if books will start offering a 4 inning line since that is about as far as you can expect a starter to go? Let's see; 4 innings by 20 starts (at least 4 weeks on D.L., on and off) = 80 innings per season. Yeah, that will protect a guys arm until he is at least 50 years old. 300 wins is not to be expected anymore, but will 200 be the HOF threshold?

 Are these 7 Cy Young winners still playing or guys making a comeback after not playing last year or more? When Baseball starts talking about eating innings to me that means having relief pitchers doing more, they talk about all the kids that can throw 100mph, so bring 2 in and they can both every other day pitch first 2 innings of games which is only 6 innings a week for each but now your starter can go his 5 innings and that takes you to the 8th inning. Now the last trick to burn another inning is for the "CLOSER" to be retrained to pitch last 2 innings since you used your set up guys in first 2 innings, one way that might  work is to expand the roster by 4 to 29.

The problem with that is the quality of players now we have not seen much of minor league players as the minors did not play last year so unless baseball had some camps open like NBA and NFL did, but I never heard anything about baseball doing this, unless kids coming out of HS or College were able to somehow play in a Country going on lock down close to a year,not sure you can expand rosters which would also take out the 6th Starter one of you brought up. Any of the burning of innings that has to do with roster increases starts with a cloud over it, I just do not think kids play baseball like we did and after us, families were still large when I was in HS, we could easy get two 5 man teams any day from our street to play,involve other streets and you could add a catcher and another infielder without much work, but we had 4 boys and the next door had 4 boys few houses up in the age behind us had 5 boys,which was the way it was.

I guess LC was right REAL BASEBALL is gone but now he is in limbo so we do not get his wisdom.

Get rid of Triple A and combine both teams,use an inactive list like football and you can burn all the innings you want with sub par pitching.

 I will be curious to see if he can collect on the performance bonuses, which the Giants were wise to build in instead of salary. He is only 30, but does not appear to have much left in the tank. Lefty is a nice advantage in San Francisco, but if the skills are gone that won't save you.

 Wood will earn bonuses for games pitched in which he records 10 or more outs, including $125,000 for 12 and 14 such games, $250,000 for 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 such games and $500,000 for 26, 28 and 30 such games. Zaidi said the structure of the contract was meant to offer some protection for Wood in case he’s used as a bulk-innings pitcher behind an opener.

This is the breakdown of the bonuses. I guess they structured the contract this way because of health concerns, he has had problems with injuries in the past.

 So sac to answer your ? it is looking like My White Sox have a much better shot than the Giants along with Yankees (always loaded Key) and Dodgers and of course Washington since WE Are Defending, those are what I am thinking so far on MY baseball teams.

Of course I will need to adjust as the season progresses based on My Other Teams which is predicated on the wins and losses of course, just sayin.......
