That reminds me of my second trip to Vegas which was a couple weeks after Tupac got shot.  So me and a friend go to a roulette table and put a small amount on Black for Tupac, red hits.  So we put the same amount on again, red hits, so we both put 50 on Black again for Tupac, red hits.  So we both put $100 each on Black for Tupac, red hits.  So we both do it again, it is my last $100, put it on black for motherfucken Tupac, red hits.  I am out of money, my friend does this two more time, on black for Tupac, red hits for both times and now he is out of money.  After we were out, black hit 5 times in a row.  SO FUC K TUPAC!

My craziest story isn't nearly as crazy as everyone else's, I might get laughed at on here but it was especially wild for me because it was my first time to Vegas and I was 21, in college, and absolutely broke.  It was pretty laughable to look back at it now, stayed at the now defunct POS New Frontier and was gambling such a low amount of money, I think I budgeted myself around $300 for the trip.

Anyway, I think I was over at the Stratosphere because it was one of the few places that had $5 tables on a Friday night, was playing roulette.  I walk up to the table and I notice on the hand history that red has hit like 8 or 9 times in a row.  I walk up and there are 3-4 guys in suits and they have a lot of money on black, I join in for like $20...red hits again.

So anyway, after this happens one of the business men asks the dealer "What is the table max?" and they reply "$5000".  All 3 of the guys say "Screw it" and each reach in their pockets and pull out 5k in cash and put it on Black.  A lot of other straddlers come in and start pushing chips on black as well.  I look at my buddy and say "Screw it, I'm going in too" and pushed in like $80.  The pit boss was freaking out and it took like 20 minutes for everything to get sorted out, I couldn't stop staring at the amount of cash that was sitting on the table (They didn't bother changing them into chips).

So anyway, the roll comes...it feels like an eternity but it hits on...black!  Everyone starts jumping up and down celebrating and the pit boss looked so pissed.  The businessmen call over the waitress and order up tons of shots for everyone and throw her a $100 tip.  Good times...

Is it that bad I thoroughly enjoyed that show, at least the first few seasons?  It was so cheesy, the acting was so bad and it was so obvious that James Caan needed a paycheck...but I couldn't stop watching

2 from the other side of the table when I was a pit boss at the Palms.
In 2008 I was a boss at the Palms and it was a rocking place.  When NHRA was in town I was talking to an up and coming driver and his wife.  They were playing small amounts, but enjoying themselves.  They lost their limit a few hundred, by playing carnival card games.  The Wife went to the bathroom and I was talking to the guy.  The cards were dealt on a 3 card game and the guy tried to throw down $20.  I told him once the cards come out he can not bet.  He says no problem.  He bets $20 on the next hand and hits 3 of a kind or something and hits $2,000.
#2, I'm a decent looking guy and was flirting with a girl playing before she went out to the clubs with her friends.  As she is about to leave I tell her if nothing works out at the club come see me as I get off at 5am.  Sure enough 4:30am rolls around and they all show up.  She starts giving me the look and passes me her room number.  Unfortunately, their is drunk guys that keep throwing out $ and I can't close my Fking games.  Finally, I jack up the minimums and convince them they are not grandfathered in.  Finally, get to clock out, run to the car switch into gym clothes and go bang her out.
Crazy enough she is a local chic and we see each other every few months.  One night she calls me at 5am when I am driving home and is trying to convince me to come to a party.  I relented when she told me she would be Fking someone in 20 minutes.  So, I go to a 5,000 sq ft house in Spanish Trail CC.  She meets me out front, we walk in through the garage and in the kitchen there is a naked couple and a case of champagne.  I look outside and there is 3 couples running around outside naked and swimming in the pool.  She takes me into a dark room and we Fck and go to bed.  A few hours later there is a strange woman grabbing my leg asking what I'm doing there.  I tell them I who I'm with and they leave.  Now that it is light in the room, I notice little league and soccer trophys for a little boy.  I quickly got dressed grabbed my keys and got the hell out of there.

Next morning I'm getting pushed to get up for golf & I can't remember a fukkin thing & why do I have like only $8 in my wallet? One of my buddies tells me I woke them up about 230am yelling because I couldn't remember what unit we were in.
Needless to say, I played like shiit that day........& it actually snowed on us during play.

Just to top it all off we get to the airport early the next day to get rid of the rental car, & upon checking in for our flight (on now defunct Reno Air) we get offered $5 upgrades to 1st class as they're celebrating their 5 year anniversary.........not real stellar on the old MD-80's but wtf. My 1st time in 1st class & I end up sleeping the whole way back.

Now this is an awesome story. But you must have still been drunk to think it was snowing when the temp had to be about 100 degrees. I know because I was out there the same weekend when Tyson bit Holyfield's ear. Still, this is great stuff

How to Turn $50 into $950 Playing Black Jack and Roulette in Four Bets

This past April, I made it out to Vegas with the same two buddies that I go with every year.  My roll was lighter than normal.  I normally take two dimes to gamble, nothing crazy, but this time I had only taken a dime.  I also figured I could always withdraw from the ATM if necessary.  I like to play heavy in comparison to my roll but not a lot of bets (obviously).  I don't like to gamble for a long time because I like to do other things in Vegas besides just that.  Anyway, I had been playing the sports book for most of my trip and was loosing, loosing bad.  I couldn't pick a winner even if I had Biff's Sports Almanac, but I was doing good at the tables.  The table games were the only thing keeping me afloat.  Needless to say, I end up busting my roll the last night there.  It was early in the evening when I lost it on Golden State Warriors playing against the Trail Blazers, I think.  So, I head to the ATM, withdraw $400, and kinda just wonder around with a buddy contemplating how I should play this money.  I decide to play $50 on black on roulette.  So I do and hit.  I press, naturally.  It hit's again.  I get up and leave.  I walk over with my buddy to $100 min black jack.  I put down $200 on one hand, and my buddy is already looking at me like I'm crazy but is also having fun with what I'm doing so far.  I end up getting blackjack.  So we high-five, and briefly celebrate the short run I'm on while the dealer is their waiting to see what I'll do next.  She was looking at us like "I remember my first beer."  She chips me $300.  So, now, I have $500 in chips from starting with $50, but I'm still down $550.  I move the $500 in chips forward and let it ride.  And just as I'm about to my second buddy shows up, and we fill him in on what going on.  So, my buddy who has been with me during this small streak of mine, is like "what the hell are you doing."  And, I remember exactly what the dealer said to me, she says, "are you sure you want to do that?"  And, my friend tells me, "atleast keep some of it."  I say to the both of them, "nonsense, run them dealer."  As she slowly is running them making us sweat.  She was deriving pleasure seeing us like this, sarcastically smiling at us.  She deals me an 8 and her self a 2, and at this point I was like, "not the bleeping deuce."  I end up getting 18.  She ends up dealing her self a bunch of cards finally busting.  We all celebrate high-fiving and laughing.  She gives me my $1000 chip cause I told her I was done playing and we laugh about it all the way down to the bar.  I did tip, but can't recall how much, I want to say $50.  Anyway, I was now only down $50 after turning $50 to almost a dime in four bets.  I ended up getting hammered at the Lily Lounge at Bellagio for the rest of the night using those 2 for 1 drink vouchers they hand out on Sundays.  I didn't gamble till the next day, but it was only $50, I lost it nontheless and headed home with a cool story.

    A Degenerate Dealer

Might of been three years ago, I'm there playing $10 min Blackjack at the Bellagio with a buddy.  The dealer was very friendly, chatting us up.  I normally don't like that and will leave.  It's a superstition thing, but I'm with a friend, and we are just playing loose having fun.  Some how or another, I don't recall, but the dealer brings up a story about a former colleague of his.  He begins to tell us that after this guy would end his shift, he'd head down to this particular casino to play slots against his wife's wishes.  He promises her that he would quit gambling once he hit a huge jackpot.  Well, a few years pass with no luck and losses piling up, she decides she's feed up with his gambling problem and wants a divorce.  So, they divorce.  Within that same year of being divorced, the man hits a two million dollar jack pot and moves to Florida.  Is the story true, or not?  I don't know, but it made the experience more enjoyable while riding the swings.

    Oct 16th 2014 (my bday)

    7 team parlay

    Jets +10

    Giants ML & O6.5

    Utah ML & U53.5

    Kings ML & U5

Giants bottom of 9th walkoff homer, win 6-3

Kings win in a shootout 1-0

Shortly after those 2 games finish, Oregon st drives to tie the game. Then in OT, tied at 23, the OSU kicker misses a fg.....had he made it, I lose the parlay as the total would have had to go over if Utah won.....Utah punches it in to win 29-23

    I was kinda happy

How you post that and not include what the parlay paid out or how much you won/risk?!?

it was "typical" Covers Bullshitt, as 75% of the commentary in this thread are based upon, nothing more than pure bullshitt, and more bullshitt, knee deep bullshitt, however, not to take away from the many 'true' verified stories that are not only fascinating, but projects people actually come to Vegas and win, and win big

I was very close to having the most magical bet ever, and then it never happened.

I was walking through a sports book (I believe it was Harrah's), and I noticed the odds for the Nascar race were posted.  I thought that it was a little strange because I had watched that Nascar race earlier in the day, and knew that Matt Kenneth had won.

I went up to the window and asked if they were still taking bets on the Nascar race.  The guy looked up at the board and said that if it was on the board they were taking bets.  I got really excited, and pulled every dollar I had out (which was around $400), and said "I'll put it all on Matt Kenneth to win at 12-1".  He looked at me weird, and there was a long pause and I said, "I think he's got a good car today".

He took my money, and I was ready to explode on the inside.  Am I really gonna make a few thousand dollars on a race that's been over for 5 hours?!?  How am I gonna cash this ticket?!?!  Do I take the ticket and walk right over to the cashier or do I wait till tomorrow??!?!  How am I gonna celebrate with the winnings?!?!

The guy put my money away, and started typing away.  The ticket printed out, and he held it in his hand and was just staring at it...I was screaming in my head, "Just give me the f*cking ticket!!!"

He looked at that ticket for a few seconds, and then looked up at me and smiled, and then ripped up the ticket as my heart sank.  He gave me my money back and said, "That's a good one.  Never seen that before", and then gave me a bunch of free drink vouchers.

I was so close to having the easiest winning bet ever...but it just wasn't meant to be.
