Good afternoon, H, isn't today the 150th anniversary of Canadian independence?

Yes, my best friends who live across the street are Canadian, going to a shindig later on at their house, if you can believe it, they don't even know I gamble (other than Triple Crown races).  They explained the whole thing to me, how the US had just bought Alaska and moved west and took all the land and Canada was afraid the U.S. would try to take them over, but I think that's not truel having just gone through a horrible Civil War.  What did you learn in history about this?
