The dealers We work hard for our money just like them and you do. We stand on our feet put up with being sworn at smoke blew in our faces. Tip should not be done at the end of your gambling as the dealer that was dealing to you may not be the same as the one that gave you the money plus you tip $5.00 at the end we spilt that with more than 200 plus dealers so the $5 bucks you gave is really 2 cents. Thanks but if everyone thinks like that go play a slot machine then you dont have to worry about tipping. And Scalabrene you must need the money more so just keep your tip. Plus we dont get profit sharing from the house if we take your money.
Please take this comment with the spirit intended. This is not directed at you, but rather your comments and why to the patrons your view is skewed.
First, your wage. Why should we give a shit what you get paid from your employer to do your job? You most certainly don't care about whether I'm underpaid or not, right? Your problem is with your employer and even more so your craft. You know the wage is shit, yet you bitch and complain about it and expect the next patron to be your "meal ticket".
Dealers vs cocktail servers. I'm from Scottsdale, Arizona where it costs me $8 for a bottle of beer. When a cocktail waitress brings me a double shot of Makers neat and I give her $5, that's a deal for me. Plus, every time I give her $5 she gives me something of value. Everytime I give you a tip, do I get something of value? No, I usually get a snapped off 20 or 5 way split of 6's that costs me $500. Like the poster above states, if you desire cocktail waitress money, be a cocktail waitress.
You work hard for your money? Your job is a fucking joke. It's the easy route and that's why you took it. You don't have to work your way up and put in your time as a dealer, you make the same money day 1. Working hard for your money is roofing houses in Arizona or working with children with disabilities, not slanging cards and conversing with degenerates. Again, you don't like it or don't feel you are valued for the work put in - get a new craft.
I don't mandate you stand, if it was up to me you could sit in a fuckin hottub or hang from a trapeze. Your employer makes you stand. I for one don't smoke and I hate getting smoke blown in my face as well. Again, your employers fault because they allow it because they want to capture every red cent from every living creature in the building.
Split tips, another scam by your employer to keep everyone on an even level to keep you all doing exactly what they need you to do and not allowing a superior dealer to experience elevated income.
Don't wanna tip go play a slot machine? Really, you don't really mean that because then you'd be out of a job or would be pushing a cart full of nickels instead of dealing cards.
This is all coming from a guy that tokes better than almost anyone I've ever played with. You have to stop acting entitled and understand you work for shit employers, you took the easy road for a job, and your customers don't owe you shit. You flip over cards for living for fuck's sake.
