Bin Laden on ice for 7 years.  That's priceless.

Still haven't heard why Al Quaida would allow the US to take advantage of this publicity if he was already dead.  But also know I won't.  They beauty of covers.

This is one of the funniest and scariest threads I have read in a long, long time. The mere fact you think this was staged is comical to anyone with any semblance of education and intelligence.

Keep up with the hilarious conspiracy theories boys. Man have the nutjobs preaching this stuff ever got you falling for their crap like sheep. I'm not sure why two intelligent posters who use common sense such as HutchEmAll and Kapono even bother with you whackos.

cia creates al queda in 1980ish funding bin laden against the soviets

keeping a boogeyman alive...or not telling anyone about his death justifies long drawn out wars, torture, gitmo, etc

a win win for the military industrial complex

i hear rumors the CIA was in afghanistan for their lithium (depleted natural resource) and for the poppy fields...our government does a lot of drug trafficking

Being distrustful of government is healthy. People like you who go along with anything are the ones who are scary. Id love to believe the government. But theyve been caught lying over and over and over again I have to be sceptical. Ill be the first to admit I was wrong if they showed me some simple proof.

i hear rumors the CIA was in afghanistan for their lithium (depleted natural resource) and for the poppy fields...our government does a lot of drug trafficking
that would be the only way he could've been dead for years or still be alive today, is if it was a cia controlled organization

I enjoy a health distrust of government -- I think everyone should considering the bullshiat the government has pulled in the past. That being said, there are times where skepticism is called for and times where it is probably misplaced. This is one of those times I believe it is misplaced.

KOAJ is right -- we didn't technically create al-Qaeda the entity, but we funded the hell out of the Mujahideen, of which al-Qaeda was an offshoot. However once we stopped funding them after the Soviet withdrawal, they really became their own animal at that point and any contention that there was cooperation with the CIA from that point forward is probably without basis in my opinion.

Probably true, unless it was a military trial.

Either way, I don't see why there is mistrust on this one.

because the white house keeps changing their story as to what went down and how it went down and why it went the way it did

I agree with this....and that is partially why I think they may have manipulated the details re. the raid.  They wanted him dead IMO.....period.

I am still amused how the very government that can't even get their story straight re. HOW he died can keep him on ice for years and years without word getting out.

C'mon, there is a difference between the details of how it went down and whether or not it went down.

I am a believer that our government is a master of screwing around with the details.....but they suck ass at trying to manipulate the big picture.

hence all the questions, the "BIG PICTURE" has yet to be brought into focus, and if our govt. has ANYTHING to do with it we will NEVER get the hi-def image we are looking for, total transparency isn't that what our president promised us in exchange for our vote?
