....and when Health Care premiums nearly *DOUBLE* for millions of Americans in two months because of ________________

This morning we had people waiting outside the Meals on Wheels facility. We only deliver food to those who lack transportation or are too ill to travel. The facility isn't setup to provide food to walkup people in need.

When I showed up the parking lot was almost full & it's never ever even half filled. I was like...WTF!

People were standing with children in some cases, hoping to get whatever we could provide. When I came back from my route @ 11:30, people were still in line while others were being turned away.

Tomorrow there will be a security guard blocking the parking lot & passing out flyers telling people where they can get food for their families. I don't show up again until Wednesday morning but I'm telling you we have a major disaster brewing if we can't even take care of each other. 

We have to get our shit together in a hurry!

It's going to get down to the 60's in South Florida this weekend, so I went out to get some Pho. The place was pretty busy & as I waited for my order, another customer told me that the owner was giving out free meals to SNAP recipients. He glanced over to 2 tables where families were sitting & told me they heard about the act of kindness by the owner & just walked in. They showed the waitress some kind of SNAP card & that was that. No other questions; just sit down & enjoy. 

Turns out that when he & 9 relatives got here, they didn't speak English but got jobs in Midwest meat packing factories & depended on SNAP to make ends meet. This is his way of giving back to those in need.

Love their food but love them more for who they are.

Stopped off for some Chinese takeout & they have great fortune cookies.

Inside the fortune cookie is of course a fortune & a series 6 numbers.

MEGA MILLIONS is over a billion bucks.

Those #'s are on my cards to play tomorrow.

It's as good a reason to play them as any, right?

When's the last time you were in a library? I was in one today.

We got an appraisal on a clock & my wife wanted to do more research on it. So we went.

I had forgotten all the resources libraries provide. Internet Access, printing & copying services, computer training classes including "how to" perform the basics. I was surprised to see about 6 or 7 people in the genealogy research area. Books on every subject, print magazines & newspapers, e/audio books & videos. And it was absolute quiet & a certain air of "respect" for each other that I haven't seen in a very long time.

For you single brothers, it's a great place to meet chicks. But then it's all on you.

The library can do only so much.

So ya got less than a week.

To do something nice for someone else you don't even know. Plenty of people are lonely as hell during the holidays & if you just do something simple, it could just be life changing for you both. People are battling against the same things you are.

Mow someone's lawn or shovel snow out of their driveway. Donate blood. Bring stuff in the garage & closets to Habitat, Salvation Army etc. Take a CPR class. You never know when you can use the knowledge. Take care of your local businesses & their employees who take care of you all year. If your kid has a favorite teacher, get them a small plant they can put on their desks. 

Now you may say, Hey Midnight I do this stuff all year long & that's great. But I'm talking about something extra, something unique something memorable for you & them.

So get off your assess & do something.

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

Saturday December 13th thousands of wreaths will be laid at the graves of veterans across the country.

$65 will get you the honor of thanking those heroes for their efforts.

Met a buddy for breakfast this morning & he didn't look good & I asked him what was wrong.

He said "I just can't take it anymore I'm getting a divorce. My wife is out after midnight all night going from bar to bar."

So I asked why she would do something like that.

And he replied "because she's looking to find me.'"

A nun is lounging in a nice hot tub when she hears a knock on the door & asks "who is it."

She hears "it's the blind man." So she tells him too come in.

The man enters the bathroom & says "nice tits. Where do you want the blinds?"

Nothing like small businesses making stuff here in America.

A horse & a chicken are great friends on a farm in Iowa. One day the horse gets stuck in quicksand & tells the chicken to get the farmer for help.

The chicken runs to the farm but the farmer isn't there. So he jumps into the farmer's BMW, drives to the quicksand & pulls his buddy out f the quicksand.

Days later, the chicken experiences the same thing & calls the horse for help.

Instead of looking for the farmer for help, the horse straddled the quicksand, tells the chicken to grab his penis & pulls the chicken to safety.

The moral of the story is....

If you are hung like a horse, you don't need a BMW to pickup chicks.
