Mess, it wasn't his job to prove to you he had the funds.. He won.. It was your job to prove you had the funds to pay him.. It would have been his job to prove it to you had he lost.. Do the right thing and pay the man.

You are so concerned about him lying to you..You did the same thing at the start of this thread . You said you happened to "bump" into the book.. Now its You called on a "hunch".

It might piss you off that he won because you aren't certain that he would pay.. I get that. The right thing to do is pay him.. It doesn't matter how he paid his debt to the bookie. fact of the matter is he came up with the money so I am sure he will do the same for you.. If he doesn't well do what you have to to get paid.

Ya, it was kind of his job to prove to me he had the funds. I had to listen to his sob tales of how his mom was crying when he had to goto saying a big black bookie was going to kill him if she didnt lend him 4k. I tried calling the bookie earlier but couldnt reach him so i took his word for it. I find out the truth the next day and the rest is history. Bottomline is Im going to pay him in 60,000 pennies (no joke) and tell him to go darn himself. Mb ill upper decker his toilet upon delivery as well.

i was joking about the pennies. i paid him and cut contact with him permanently. it took every bit of my inner strength to do it though. I know he would have screwed me and i got duped in a way. live and learn.

So, this degenerate acquaintance of mine who occasionally asks me for advice and tells me his plays we'll call him Sean. He whines to me about how he got cleaned out and lost 4k to local book and had to get to his parents to pay it off for him. Somehow they felt bad and left him 300 to play with

I know it burns Mess.............had a guy do something similar to me many years ago although in our case he just got back to even (sort of....long story short). I was steamed..........but it ended there. I never let it happen again & I'm sure you won't either.

Bettors should only bet online IMO. I don't understand why people use bookies.

I've had this happen occasionally where non close friends or acquaintances are often making snide remarks that lead me to believe they are pulling against my wager. I think it stems from the envy of someone being able to make good $ off a hobby. Obviously my gambling buds would never do this, just many people that have no understanding of the grind.

^ agreed people even 'friends' get jealous when u hit big wins and did it without any real work so they root against you and are quick to laugh and bust your balls when you lose

No one denies what he did was messed up if he didn't have the money, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. Just follow the cardinal rule in betting if you lose pay up. I'm a strong man on principles and believe this to be the lone single rule everyone should follow. If you lose pay up, if you win you should get your money. To be honest I've been gambling for a long time and have dealt with tons of bulllshit like people dodging me cause they owe me money. When I lose, the moneys in your account first thing next week. Same should apply both ways for everyone. My 2 cents but either way I hope things work out for you.
