Reverse Late line movement

You can't even explain why and how a side is weighted when a line moves without a contradiction, so how can you say what you do isn't 100% random?

I tried to explain one thing about line moves that i have come to learn thru the years, am sure there are tons of other things.
Like i said, i gave this thread some info, if you believe it, thats great, if not, i really dont give a flying fuck. I wished you guys well, lets leave it at that

it was a fake line move on Ark. if you went against LSU.  Everyone said that Razors could not stop the run but line dropped in their favor. stuck with my initial play on LSU.  easy cover.

true line move on USC. it went up!  50-0!  easy cover.  several easy ones this past weekend, WS and Houston.  Baylor was close for a while and Oregon was close and Stanford was easy.  Va T. too.

I'm only on page 2 of this but I think this is my favorite thread I've been in today. I've also been curious and wondering about "fake" line movements as well. The uninformed are going to hate but take some time to think about this and it makes pretty damn good sense. It's psychology, reverse psychology and maybe even reverse reverse psychology at times.

I do have a question for Scalabrine though, when you see a reverse line movement (different than "fake line movements) what do you do? in other words, how can you tell which side they are TRYING to get you to play?

first off its hard to determine a true reverse line movement play, because the numbers you see on all these consensus sites really cant be trusted.

One of the big tools i use to decipher a fake move, is when i see a game move down on the dog, when i know damn well that dog doesnt have a chance in hell of winning.


Lastly on every game every day you are going to have sharp players playing one side and sharp players playing the other side, its just the nature of the beast.
Look at the hilton contest for example, some of the leaders are one one side and some of the leaders are on the other side.  No real magic formula.

So you dont think there are other good gamblers like billy walters in this world?  My point basically was that with gambling you should just try to follow your own self, because every day on every game, you will have smart bettors on one side and smart bettors on the other side.
Dont you think there will be smart cappers betting new orleans and smart cappers betting the giants?  So trying to decipher whos on what side is next to impossible, unless like i have said all along, if you know somebody inside a big sportsbook, that can actually tell you what sides the successful bettors are betting.

You dont see me telling you your opinion is wrong. I mean who are you Gods gift to handicapping?  I doubt you would be hanging out on covers if you were such a huge successful bigtime gambler.

All i have posted is things that i have come to notice, learn or whatever else you want to call it from betting and writing for many years.

and lastly i cant believe that you asked what is a sharp and is that somebody that always wins?  Thats pretty funny that you dont know what a sharp is. Yes sharps dont always win, but they win more then they lose, thats why the books call these guys sharp, okay. I didnt create the name sharps for these guys.
Honestly you should quit gambling or get some further education, maybe read some good books on gambling or something.

I dont need covers to write an article about something that i use and has worked for me to believe its good.  I have never said that all lines moves are fake line moves, its a very small number and they are always moves to the dogs, not to the favorites. These plays have worked out well for me and dont care if you believe that or not.  Theres no reason for me to make this shit up and never in all my years on this site, have i ever made any posts saying am the best capper and how am betting 10k a game or any of that other bullshit stuff you read on this site.
Maybe next year or the year after it will stop working for me, but right now, when i spot a play that i think is a bullshit move, it wins. I wish all my picks would win like that but they dont.

Hey Sharky, one other thing.  What i find funny is how if a covers staff member writes an article about it, then you might believe its true, but if a regular guy like myself talks about this, i must be off my rocker.
really what makes those other guys experts on the subject?  Because they work for a gambling website or that they have a tout business? I would bet i have been gambling longer then 90 percent of them.

one of the most deeply intelligent statements i have ever seen on this website!  it's like the equivalent of a Hindu achieving Nirvana... makes me think of Siddhartha... you go through all of these stages of learning, each one more functional and valuable than the last... and the great irony is that, this insight trumps and contradicts all of the other insights...

but like Siddhartha... you have to make all of those other "valuable" mistakes to get to this simple realization, that really isn't simple at all!
