Or you may say the Cubs have beaten the Astros the last 10 times they met, i expect the opposite to happen here.

When you put your money on the game, you have faith that the players are gonna play it out based on your analysis otherwise you wouldnt have put your hard earned on it.

The fact is, when you bet, you dont have 100% material evidence that the outcome is gonna fall your way, but you still bet on it...

There is no reason to have blind faith in a God. None at all, it serves no purpose at all. There is no measurable benefit.

A dog, did it create itself out of nothing? No

The point is, everything that is created in this world, has a cause. The cause has to be something outside itself. Why is this impossible for you to accept? If you went to your physcologist and you told him that something can be created from absolutely nothing he will send you to the nearest mental hosptal.

I urge you, when you sleep tonight, ask yourself, can something come from absolutely nothing? by nothing? for nothing and result in what we see today by nothing more than an accident?

If you believe in that then there is nothing more i can say to you

Let's take a poll. Who should I believe?

    Please check one box.

And for the record, regardless of how things are created, common sense will NEVER lead you to an imaginary being living in the sky that makes things out of magic.

But check a box please. Everyone.

I'll give you the 1st part and subsequent parts later for all to read. It will definitely have you pondering that's fo sho!

Our Lady at Fatima Part 1

On 13 May 1917, ten year old Lúcia Santos and her younger cousins, siblings Jacinta and Francisco Marto, were looking at sheep at a location known as the Cova da Iria near their home village of Fátima in Portugal. Lúcia described seeing a woman "brighter than the sun, shedding rays of light clearer and stronger than a crystal ball filled with the most sparkling water and pierced by the burning rays of the sun."[2] Further appearances are reported to have taken place on the thirteenth day of the month in June and July. In these, the woman exhorted the children to do penance and Acts of Reparation, and to make sacrifices to save sinners. The children subsequently wore tight cords around their waists to cause pain, performed self-flagellation using stinging nettles, abstained from drinking water on hot days, and performed other works of penance and mortification of the flesh.[3] Most important, Lúcia said that the lady had asked them to pray the rosary every day, repeating many times that the rosary was the key to personal and world peace. This had particular resonance since many Portuguese men, including relatives of the visionaries, were then fighting in World War I.[2] According to Lúcia's account, in the course of her appearances, the woman confided to the children three secrets, now known as the Three Secrets of Fátima.

Thousands of people flocked to Fátima and Aljustrel in the ensuing months, drawn by reports of visions and miracles. On 13 August 1917, the provincial administrator and anticlerical Freemason,[4] Artur SantosHYPERLINK \l "cite_note-4"[5] (no relation to Lúcia Santos), believing that the events were politically disruptive, intercepted and jailed the children before they could reach the Cova da Iria that day. Prisoners held with them in the provincial jail later testified that the children, while upset, were first consoled by the inmates, and later led them in praying the rosary. The administrator interrogated the children and unsuccessfully attempted to get them to divulge the content of the secrets. In the process, he tried to convince the children that he would boil them one by one in a pot of oil unless they confessed. The children, however, resisted. That month, instead of the usual apparition in the Cova da Iria on the 13th, the children reported that they saw the Virgin Mary on 19 August at nearby Valinhos.[2]

Good mornin' everybody!...My Christian brothers & sisters, the irresolutors & the heathens!, how is everyone today on this fine, beautiful 2nd day of June?...I'm fine myself thankyou!

Let me start today with the Lord's prayer. For you irresolutors & heathens, I don't know what you do, you have no instruction manual, no guide for your lives but we Christians have a instruction manual and it's called the Holy Bible and the author is God. Ok let's recite the Lord's Prayer. Fee free my irresolutor & heathen brothers & sisters to recite the prayer below. Ok let's bow our heads and pray.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.----Matthew 6:9:13

    Praise the Lord Almighty!!

    The Book of Isaiah

The author is Isaiah or his followers, the events of chapters 1-39 occurred during Isaiah's ministry, so they were probably written around 700 B.C. Chapters 40-66 however, may have ben written near the end of his life, around 681 B.C.

Isaiah's long ministry lasted almost 60 years and covered the reigns of four kings, including Hezekiah. The prophecies of Isaiah were primarily given to the people of Judah, although his messages applied to the northern kingdom of Israel as well. Isaiah lived through the dark days of the civil war between Israel and Judah (734-732 B.C.) and saw the destruction of Israel by Assyria in 722 B.C. Isaiah used the grim lesson of Israel's fall to teach King Hezekiah of Judah to trust in the Lord. Isaiah also spoke about events that took place after his own time, including the coming exile of Judah to Babylon and the deliverance that God would provide afterward. Isaiah also warned the nations surrounding Israel and Judah that they, too, would be judged for their actions. In the end, however, Isaiah offered a message of hope and comfort for Judah, promising that God would restore them after their punishment was completed. Isaiah's messages, like those of most prophets, made him few friends during his lifetime. Nevertheless, he faithfully continued to bring God's message to the world.

How come there were people around for thousands of years before Jesus? What did they do? What did they believe? Did they get a chance to go to heaven? What about the ancient Greeks and Romans? Were they screwed? What about the ancient Mesopotamians? Just in general, how do the pre-bible people fall in the picture?

For every 1 question Rostos asks us that we can't answer, there are 100 questions about the bible that are either unanswerable or inconsistent with the rest of the bible/god.

    Why Were You BORN?

Is there PURPOSE for human life? Does life, after all, have real meaning? Here is the awesome truth!

Part 16 of 23. We Are God's Workmanship

(Note: If you want the entire 23 parts to this series go to website: thetruechurch.net. Also br. van who currently is a heathen gave you Part 14 of 23 three days ago but yesterday he didn't give you part of 16 of 23 and so today I continue with part 16 of the series. I guess the Good Lord only needed to use the heathen a few days, again as they say the Lord works in mysterious ways.)

The prophet Isaiah explains this also: "But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand" (Isa. 64:8).

And in calling us forth from the grave, in the resurrection, God will have a desire to finish the work of his hands. The model, from which the finished spiritual product is to be molded, is material substance---mortal human clay.

In the creation of Genesis 1, God formed and shaped man physically, into God's image. But we do not, as humans, have the spiritual character of the perfect God. During this life-time, for those whom God calls, if they yield and respond, God begins to re-form and shape them spiritually, while they become more and more like him in spiritual character.

For this grand and glorious purpose, God has marked out a duration of seven thousand years! Each 24-hour day of the Genesis 1 creation was a type of one of the seven millennial days of the spiritual creation.

Except for those whom God specially and individually calls, for the first six millennial days, God leaves man to write his lesson in human experience. Man made the choise of relying on himself under sway and influence of Satan. God is allowing man to demonstrate beyond question his helplessness---without God's Holy Spirit--to live in a way the produces peace, happiness, and universal abundance.

Or, the parallel: God is allowing Satan the six millennial days for his labor deception and evil. And on the seventh millenial day he shall not be allowed to do any of his evil work---he shall be imprisoned (Rev. 20:1-3), while the living Christ brings truth and salvation to the world.

Now let's look briefly at the importance of redemption in all this. What is redemption?

We read in Ephesians 2:8, 10 "By grace are ye saved through faith....For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them". Notice, there are good works to salvation.

The "we" in New Testament language usually means Christians---those truly converted. We, then, are God's workmanship. Yes! "Created"---now being created---to what objective---to what purpose? Note it! "Unto good works"! Unto perfect spiritual character!

Now the apostle Paul is here is not speaking of Adam's creation, six thousand years ago. He is speaking of Christians, now, being created---unto good works. We are his workmanship---the Creator is still creating. He is molding, fashioning, changing us, transforming us to his own noble, righteous, holy, spiritual character. Yes, creating in us this perfect character.

    Redemption, therefore, is a process!

But how "the god of this world" ( 2 Cor, 4:4) would blind your eyes to that! He tries to deceive you into thinking all there is to it is just "accepting Christ"---with "no works"--- and presto-chango, you're pronounced "saved."

The Bible reveals that "he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matt. 24:13) "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature..." (2 Cor. 5:17). Yes, a new creation!

"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is (being) created in righteousness and true holiness" (Eph. 4:23-24).

It all begins in the faculty we call the mind. Repentance, the first step in salvation, is a change of mind. We believe through the mind. The receiving and indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a renewing of the mind. Gradually, through Bible study, learning to live by "every Word of God," being continually corrected, keeping in constant prayer, the yielded person develops the very mind of God. And thus the new man---a holy, spiritual character---is being created in righteousness, and in true holiness.

No, it's not my poor reading comprehension skills but rather it's your very poor ability in formulating a question to make it perfectly clear as to what you are trying to convery over to the one's taking on your question, to get a response that you expect.. It's you that can't comprehend your own question...lol must be that ape-like animal creature mentality of yours...lol j/k sometimes I like to throw in some humor, otherwise this thread will be too boring...lol

You specically asked on post #1504 on pg. 61, "Name one time where a previous unknown phenomena on earth was discovered and the cause of it had a supernatural explanation?" Examples: Earthquakes, Rain, thunder, lighting, fire, rainbows ect...all at one point were thought to be the direct work of deities and or the supernatural. Once we found out what the real cause was it turned out to be a 100% natural and scientific explanation.

And I told you about the phenomena that occurred in Fatima, Portugal in the year 1917, during the 1st World War, where approx. 70,000 people discovered and saw this phenomena where they saw the sun literally dance in the sky and the explanation of it could only have been supernatural, a sign from the Heavens, a sign from God. Witnesses later spoke of the sun appearing to change colors and rotate like a wheel. Before the astonished eyes of the crowd, whose aspect was biblical as they stood bare-headed, eagerly searching the sky, the sun trembled, made sudden incredible movements outside all cosmic laws - the sun 'danced' according to the typical expression of the people.

And so mrgetrich, this dancing of the sun witnessed by approx. 70,000 people, cannot be explained by natural and scientific explanation, it is the work of God. Till today no scientists can explain why it happened. Remember now this is 1917 and no one had cell phone cameras, or hand held video cameras...lol but in attendance there were newspaper reporters and photographers and so they must have gotten some photo evidence. But read this entire story of this biblical occurence. One could go to wikipedia and type in: Our Lady of Fatima.

Lastly, if my answer failed the question you asked, try using a different way of formulating it because evidently you didn't ask the way you really wanted to but I indeed answered it the way it was presented....oh yeah!

And if you can't believe 70,000 witnesses, who are you?, being an individual, wanting people to believe you that your great, great, great, great, great grand dad was an ape-like animal creature from the Blue Lagoon....huhuhaha!...huhuhaha!...huhuhaha!

So God created human beings, in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. ---Genesis 1:27

If you want to play that game, fine.

I was created out of nothing. My parents, (just like Hawking saying gravity is nothing) are nothing.

So effectively i came from nothing. Just like gravity, my parents are nothing.

    So i came from nothing.

No need to describe where gravity came from or my parents, they were just conviniently there.

As i said, AT the end of the day

If you want to believe the universe popped into existence out of NOTHING, by NOTHING, for NOTHING then that is your belief.

If you want to believe, as a result of that explosion that came from nothing, caused by pure random flukey chance what we see today, then that is your belief.

From that, as the earth was formed by pure flukey chance, the earth and anything formed from it has NO PURPOSE. As there was no creator and everything happened by a fluke, there is no purpose.

If i created a chair, the purpose is for someone to sit on it. If the earth and humanity was formed by no creator and just pure fluke, well then there is no purpose. Much like a tornado ripping through a town. The debri has the same purpose as earth - NOTHING.

    OR

You can believe, something outside of space, time and matter created space, time and matter with an ultimate purpose that we see today. The inteligence, order and design we see in the cosmos and in our bodies came from an intelligent creator.

Human beings were created in the image of the designer. Human beings are occupying the House "earth" of the intelligent designer and must live by his rules.

If you dont, then the consequences are severe, but the good news is that you can say you are sorry, its never to late and the benefits are tremendous.

    Its upto you.

Try answering my questions next time. Adam and Eve were NOT the first humans. This is a FACT.

So, here they are again so you don't have to scroll back up.

How come there were people around for thousands of years before Jesus? What did they do? What did they believe? Did they get a chance to go to heaven? What about the ancient Greeks and Romans? Were they screwed? What about the ancient Mesopotamians? Just in general, how do the pre-bible people fall in the picture

Holy shit Rostos. WHY MUST THE UNIVERSE AND EARTH AND PEOPLE HAVE A PURPOSE? WHY? There is no answer. There is absolutely no reason ANYTHING has to have a purpose. You are just making shit up again.

And stop saying the universe is random. It is far from random. It took 14.7 billion years to form the way it did. At first it was utter chaos after the big bang. Then after the flying particles slowed down slowly over millions of years, the universe as we know it began to form. The universe is made up of solar systems within galaxies within clusters of galaxies within superclusters of galaxies. There is a process by which galaxies are created and matter clumps together over long long periods of time to form planets, etc. The process is not random by any means.

And, just because something may seem random, doesn't mean it is...and furthermore, even if it is, that doesn't mean it has to be god.

Isolate this logic: "Oh man, this is so complicated, I can't understand it: must be god." How is that rational at all?
