How is losing hair for an ape a beneficial mutation for it and basically, how does the body know, lets lose this trait, because we will get clothing from external sources to compensate?

Rostos - I respect the fact that you admit you don't know regarding god and the future of the universe. However, I cannot accept your answer regarding the 14.7 billion years. Even if god operates outside the confines of time and space, it still took 14.7 billion years for life to emerge. Presumably, god could've done it much quicker. Now I understand you don't have the answer to this question and neither do I, but that does not render the question invalid by any means. The fact that god has all the time in the world (and then some) doesn't change the fact that 14.7 billion years passed. Again, God has unlimited resources. If God is great and it took him 14 bill years, then who are we to say he wasted time? Dont compare time restraints , wastage of this world to God
And regarding something coming from the "nothing" as the scientists described it, I literally have no idea what the hell that means or how it makes sense. No clue. Perhaps we'll discover it someday. Perhaps we won't. Either way, that doesn't immediately lead me to the assumption that it was god. It leads me to the most obvious and the only 100% factually true conclusion: we simply don't know. The only thing here, if the at the birth of the universe, space, time and matter began to exist, then either something OUTSIDE of space, time and matter (something the naturalist doesnt believe in) CAUSED this OR, space, time and matter created itself out of nothing, by nothing, for no reason at all?
    Pick and choose.

The Fallacy of Black and White thinking. There are other possibilities than the 2 you propose. If A, then not B. If not A, then B. That is not the case. If not A, then maybe B, C, D, E, etc. There are potentially endless possibilities that we cannot even fathom. And further, there are possibilities within the possibilities. We just don't know and unfortunately and reluctantly, I have to accept that. I wish I knew everything, but I know that is impossible.

And as we know god can literally do ANYTHING. Why would he wait 14.7 billions? He doesn't need to wait. He could've made the entire expanding universe as it is now appear instantaneously, but he didn't. Perhaps he was busy working on other universes?

I understanding what you are saying, but at the end of the day, there is something, how did that something come into existence? By itself, from nothing, by nothing? The most plausible explanation IMO is something outside it caused it. But the naturalist cant think outside thus natural world.

It really is an intriguing question, but it doesnt disprove Gods existence at all. This question doesnt bother me.But it is interesting thinking about it.

OK Moe - I will play along....

If god is a creator of man, why do we have such an imperfect system of having one main artery to feed the heart, and that often gets blocked (heart attack)?

While you are at it, explain the imperfect system of having one small tube to BOTH breathe and swallow food and water (before it breakes in to two), causing choking deaths?  Why wouldnt this be two?

There are so many imperfections in the design of man it is silly.  You like to look at man and say what a wonderful creation, but ask a doctor - and he will tell you that the glass is often half empty.

    I anticipate your reply.

Yeah its funny cause you dont know the answer. Science doesnt known the answer.

I have read in some science forums the reason being because we (Apes) originated from Africa where it was a warm client, when we hunted for food, we suffered severe heat stress, hence it was a beneficial mutation to get rid of the hair...

Ok then, what the ### was the hair, layer of fur doing on us in the first place if the climate was so warm?

Why did the specie prior to the ape when transformed to the ape have a mutation that required it to have so much fur? I thought the environment was too hot? But the fact that we supposedly got so much fur is because to protect the body from the elements (cold)?

I would love to hear a rational response.

Furthermore, if evolution is true, why werent there mutations so we get 2 arteries, or another pipe so we can breathe? I am sure those are much more critical for survival than developing mutations so we can stand upright....LOLOLOL, have you heard of anyone dying from walking on all 4's with a bent back?

So why get mutations for that as opposed to the others that you mentioned which threatens survival?

isnt it, survival of the fittest?

Do you have any idea how young modern humans are and how long evolution takes to occur?

And yes, the frailty of the human body does disprove god's existence to the extent that the fact that humans wear clothes disprove evolution. There's a parallel between the 2 arguments. You're pointing out one seemingly inexplicable flaw in the process. So are we. But I must say, the wearing of clothes pales in comparison to the flaws of the human body itself. "And he saw that it was "good"" Good? The human body is a joke. It is so easily destroyed. Cockroaches can survive a nuclear holocaust, but the entire human population would be eradicated? That doesn't sound like the word of a perfect being to me.

The point is we can poke much bigger holes in your argument than you can poke in ours (starting with the fact that we can see evolution, but we can't see god, but we won't go there). So if you're gonna attack something insignificant like the fact that apes have fur and we don't, you're going to lose.

And I understand that you understand what I'm saying about the origin of the big bang, but, like I said, just because we don't understand it doesn't immediately mean it's god. There are tons of things we as humans don't understand. Just because you can insert god as the answer doesn't mean you should. If we did that, we'd never find answers to any questions. Surely, you'd agree with that.
Example: How are you able to hear what I'm saying when I speak? Hmm, interesting question, don't know, must be god.
If we operated like that, modes of communication would never have been discovered because we would've just accepted that when god wanted someone to hear what we were saying, he would make it happen.
Not the best example, but it illustrates the point well enough.
Moral of the story: a lack of scientific answer doesn't necessarily mean god is the answer.

Good afternoon everybody!...My Christian brothers & sisters, the irresolutors & the heathens!, how is everyone today on this fine, beautiful 1st day of June?...I'm fine myself thankyou!

Let me start today with the Lord's prayer. For you irresolutors & heathens, I don't know what you do, you have no instruction manual, no guide for your lives but we Christians have a instruction manual and it's called the Holy Bible and the author is God. Let's start by reciting the Lord's Prayer. Fee free my irresolutor & heathen brothers & sisters to recite the prayer below. Ok let's bow our heads and say the Lord's prayer:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.----Matthew 6:9:13

    Praise the Lord Almighty!!

The Book of Song Of Songs

The author was Solomon, written perhaps around 960 B.C.; early in Solomon's reign

Popular sexual behavior today is a sad distortion of God's plan established in the Garden of Eden. Contrary to God's design, it has become a freely traded commodity rather than an exclusive, private treasure shared between a committed husband and wife. God values romantic love and sexual union, and the Song of Songs expresses the beauty of this love as God intended it. This poetic book describes several scenes involving Solomon, a young woman, and possibly another young man. It is a song about love, courtship, and marriage, using many vivid metaphors to describe these things. These poetic verses describe a couple's desire for one another, the struggles they overcome, the tender feelings that love awakens in them, and the joy they find in being together. The "young women of Jerusalem" also add some observations of their own. Many scholars believe this poem shoud also be understood as an illustration of Christ's love for the church.

    Why Were You BORN?

Is there PURPOSE for human life? Does life, after all, have real meaning? Here is the awesome truth!

Part 15 of 23. Compelled to Choose

(Note: If you want the entire 23 parts to this series go to website: thetruechurch.net. Also br. van who currently is a heathen gave you Part 14 of 23 two days ago but yesterday he didn't give you part of 15 of 23 and so today I continue with part 15 of the series. I guess the Good Lord only needed to use the heathen a few days, again as they say the Lord works in mysterious ways.)

Now remember, I said creation is still going on. Adam was freely offered eternal life. He was complelled to make a choice. Had he and Eve made the choice to believe God---accept knowledge from God, instead of taking to themselves the determination of the knowledge of what is good and what is evil---they could have taken of the tree of life.

That tree symbolically represented the Holy Spirit of God. Taking it would have impregnated within them God life--spirit -life. Then Adam's creation would have been completed within his life-time. He would ultimately have been changed from mortal to immortal---from physical material composition to being composed of spirit, even as God is!

But the first humans rejected basic revelation of knowledge from God---just as humanity has done ever since. They rejected the way God set in motion to cause peace, prosperity, happiness and joy. They limited the acquisition of knowledge to their human minds.

And ever since, man has tried to go his own way---governing himself---living the "get" way, with unconcern for the good of others. And man's way has resulted in all the mountain of evils that has been built up in this world.

Therein is the explanation of all the illiteracy, the poverty, the disease and squalor of the world's majority. Therein is the explanation of the evils that exist in the "more advanced" and "developed" areas of the world. They have education--but with a great, vast dimension missing! Education with no knowledge of the purpose of life. Education that can produce computers, fly missions into space and back, but cannot solve man's problems.

And why? Because the problems are spiritual and man has rejected the knowledge of God's spiritual law---the way of life that would cause peace and universal good!

But has God left stricken humanity to its fate?

    By no means.

God's spiritual creation is still in progress.

The real answer was brought out by Job. "If a man die, shall he live again?" Job asked--and answered: "All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands" (Job 14:14-15).

The latter part of his quotation, most often overlooked, is the key to this whole riddle. Read it again!

"Thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands"! Study that! Job knew he was merely the work of God's hands. Merely a piece of divine workmanship in the hands of the Creator. Merely a piece of plastic clay in the hands of the Master Potter.

    Read the last sentence.

Finally, there is some agreement in this thread!

Harry Potter is god!  SJD - thanks for repeating what Dobby already knew - Master Potter is god!!!

For starters, lets not confuse the arguments here.

I am very interested to hear your theory as to why we wear clothes from the point of view of evolution , why if apes evolved to humans, did we lose the mutation of "fur", arguably the most important trait to survive against the elements?

Name me a city or place on earth where apes would have resided where it would have been very very mildly warm temps ALL year round  day and NIGHT for a period of say 1 million years?

Remember, cats "shed" hair for the summer months cause of the changes in temps, but arguably they grow the hair back for winter. I would love to know a place on earth where it is "HOT", day and night that would have been for a million years at least? Even if it is cool at night, i doubt that would have been enough to drop the mutation of fur, unless the fur says, "right, lets drop off this trait cause i know the "body" will create clothing from external sources.

This is the most simplest basic argument but arguably one of the most effective against evolution.......

And please dont use the argument that we originated from Africa where it was hot. If that is the case and it was hot, what were the apes doing with fur in the 1st place? If they migrated to Africa, did they cross oceans to go from cold places to very very hot places? Did they cross oceans? Maybe they built boats? lolol

    I am very intrigued here

I am far far from an expert in biological sciences / evolutionary theory etc. The only thing i dont understand is if evolution is true, why do we humans wear clothes?

the thread really should have ended and been archived with this post. it's a short sentence but there is so much happening in it.   it doesn't get any better.

Very strong excellent points you've made. You sir are an expert debater. I can't see how br. kitty could come back with any logical answers.

    Yeah they built boats...hihihihihi! That's was a good one...imagine ape-like animal creatures building boats!...hihihihihi!

Some of the differences that stand out are the new earth will have no sea, there will be no sun or moon, gravity will be absent or greatly reduced, no more death, suffering, pain, and new bodies. The laws of thermodynamics seem to be absent from the new creation, since the Bible tells us that there will be no heat. The lack of eating in heaven  goes along with the idea that thermodynamics will be absent there. To a certain degree, we will be given some of the characteristics of God in heaven. Seems there will be no marriage or sexual differences among those in heaven, since reproduction is unnecessary. This concept is supported by  verses that indicate that males and females are spiritually equal. Besides receiving a new body, those who enter heaven will be given a new name, and will be incapable of committing sin. One of our first acts in heaven will be to help judge the world, specifically the angels, the fallen rebels. Besides acting as judges in heaven, the Bible says that we will reign with God in heaven. Exactly what this reigning entails is not defined. However, we will also be serving God directly. The Bible says that we cannot imagine what heaven will be like, but that it will exceed our expectations. Each of us in heaven will be revealed in glory. Bible speaks that all spiritual creatures recognize that their spirits are eternal and will go through judgment of God, based upon their adherence to the laws of God. However, there are those who have told themselves long enough that there is no God that they have had this conscience or built-in eternity in their hearts dulled to the point that they no longer respond to it. According to particle physics and relativity, at least ten dimensions of space existed at the creation of the universe. Three of these dimensions (plus time) formed the space-time manifold that we can directly observe. The other six of these dimensions exist within the universe as incredibly compact dimesions of space. God must be able to operate in all of those ten dimensions plus more in order to have created the universe. A verse from the book of Hebrews suggests God created the universe out of some of the dimensions of space and time which are not visible to us. The God of the Bible is invisible and cannot be seen except if He reveals Himself to us in a three-dimensional form that we can see. A being which exists in dimensions beyond our three spatial dimensions would be invisible to us that can only exist in the confines of our universe. The God of the Bible is described as omnipotent. If God were confined to three dimensions of space and one dimension of time, then He could be in only one place at one time. The God of the Bible is described as knowing all that we do. We can hide nothing from God. A three-dimensional God would not have the ability to see through walls and could not know what happens outside of his sight. Stephen Hawking, George Ellis, and Roger Penrose extended the equations for general relativity to include space and time not only space, but also time has a beginning, at the moment of creation. Studies in particle physics have shown that our dimension of time is really only half a dimension, since time can only move forward forget the time travel movies, this is scientifically impossible. If God existed in only one dimension of time, then He would have had to have been created at one point. The Bible says God was not created, but has existed from eternity past to eternity future. The Bible also suggests God created time and was acting before time began confirming that God exists either outside of time altogether or in at least two dimensions of time. The Bible states God can compress or expand our time line based upon what He wants to do. For God to turn a day into 1000 years and 1000 years into a day requires that He exist external to our dimension of time. For second question, one part of the answer would be in the English translations of the Hebrew scriptures that say that God is jealous. God's "jealousy" is primarily restricted to a jealousy over the worship of idols that competes with His love to prevent a relationship with Him, where jealousy between people takes on quite a number of forms. There are two different Hebrew words to describe jealousy, one refers to a passionate jealousy or envy. The second takes on a wide range of meanings from sexual passion (or jealousy) to a zeal for God to anger or envy. I guess the majority, if not all atheists apart of this thread think that God should not be jealous bc, as an English word, "jealousy" has virtually universal negative connotations. In the original languages in which the Bible is written, Hebrew and Greek, the words translated as "jealousy" in  English do not always have negative connotations. The Greek word often translated "jealous" is into a word that the English lanuage gets the word "zealous" referring more to zeal and ardor rather than jealousy. If you understand western politics, the vacum left by the Greek Gods that were used by politicians of the day have been filled in modern times by celebrities. You can look at the worship of God as not being distracted by idols of your times, where as today celebrities have filled this vacum. The stars of todays entertainment be it sport or television are the new idols of the west, just look at how they have filled the vacum left by the Gods of Greece and Rome in our society.

All of us have the gene for "fur", although like teeth in chickens it's inactive. We didn't lose it it's just dormant for most people. There are some people, maybe because God hates their families where that gene is activated and they have a body full of hair. The condition is called Hypertrichosis.

But regardless, you still can't name on anatomical feature of an ape that we have that they don't. Since you can't that makes us apes, just like we are mammals and vertebrates.  Would you deny that we are mammals or vertebrates?

yeah right we all crawled out of the primordial ooze after the big bang and evolved into a man and a woman with all our genitals perfectly in tact.  Nice try buddy.
