The bible is a book just like Harry Potter. It is not a source of truth because it is unverified. The end. You can find accredited historical scholars to support whatever you believe if you look hard enough. There are people out there who legitimately believe the Earth is flat. All my arguments are based on logic and reason. Yours are based on speculation and hearsay. That is the fundamental difference.
As for Rostos' ridiculous claims about saving people and altruism, evolution explains HOW SPECIES CHANGED OVER TIME, NOT WHY THEY DO WHAT THEY DO. Humans have the ability to think. Every person who comes across that scenario can choose to help the person or not and the reasons for whatever that person decides varies from person to person. There is no absolute answer. Science does not apply here.

These "fulfilled prophecies" are bullshit and unsubstantiated. There is no reason for me to believe them. For all I know, the New Testament was altered to include these "prophecies" after the things they predicted had occurred.
And stop comparing evolution to a religion and jumping on a grenade. Evolution doesn't mean "oh I'm gonna be a 100% selfish prick and never help out anyone else." There are plenty of people willing to give their lives for others. That doesn't mean millions of scientific data is wrong. I've never had this argument with anyone as incompetent as you, Rostos. You are the only one who makes up arguments and tries to link things totally unrelated. SCIENCE IS NOT HERE TO EXPLAIN WHY (at least not yet). Jumping on a grenade poses the question of "why" not "how."

During the time of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ there were thousands upon thousands of witnesses to the miracles that he performed. These miracles were miracles only the Son of God could have done. Lastly, Jesus disciples were the witnesses to his resurrection from the dead, and he commanded them to spread the Gospel throughout the entire world.
Today worldwide there are estimates of between 2 to 3 billion Christians in a world of approx. 6 billion people and so these estimates are between one-third to one-half of the entire population of the world. So no kitty, the Holy Bible is not like a book like Harry Potter.
Harry Potter is acknowledged by everyone that it is indeed a ficticious story made for entertaining today's young kids in movie theatres.
On the otherhand 2 billion to 3 billion people worldwide acknowledge that the Holy Bible is the truth and nothing but the truth so help me God!!

Secondly, evolution tells us that life is allabout passing on your henes, giving yourself the best chance to. Yet we see people almost every day give up there life for someone else. Furthermore, we DONT HAVE EVIDENCE in the fossil record that shows the complete transformation from species to another but that is not bullshit.
At the end of the day, non believers just want to be there own God, they dont want the thought that they are going to have to answer to a higher being. The biggest issue with is PRIDE...and you seem to have tonnes of it,

I'm sorry guys. I can't do this anymore. There's no point. This will be my final post. There have been so many stupid comments here, but nothing tops the claim that scientists don't know how lightning works...yes they do...they completely understand it and can probably recreate it if they wanted to (after all, they can almost recreate a supernova, i think they can manage lightning). I'm also sick of being asked to prove that which doesn't need to be proved. I am not making a claim that something magical exists. Therefore, I don't have to prove anything. The burden of proof always rests with the side making the claim, especially when that claim defies the laws of physics. If you want me to believe the laws of physics can be broken by anyone or anything, you have to prove it, I don't have to prove that the laws of physics can't be broken. That's how experiments work. Evolution is not about passing on your genes. It is about adapting to your environment. It is a process. It is a how, not a why...stop conflating the two. Here is a fact: the bible was written by over 40 authors over the course of 1500 years. Try playing a game of "telephone" with 39 friends and see what the phrase ends up being when it gets back to you. That's all you need to know to debunk the bible as a valid source (not to mention the fallacies, contradictions, and parts that literally have a 0% chance of being true-but we disregard those as "metaphors" because they don't conform to what the drone wants the bible to be). In conclusion, even though we cannot disprove the existence of god, we already know with 100% certainty it isn't absolutely necessary to invoke a creator to explain the universe so if you do so, you are doing it by choice, because you believe, not because there has to be one. So, is it still theoretically possible there is a god? Yes. But those odds are undoubtedly below 50% and if I were to place a line on it, I'd say No God -100000000. Yes God +50000000. Yes I'm serious dutch boy! Just recently I was watching a program on either the Discovery Channel or the Weather Channel, can't remember exactly which it was but it was about lightning. I clearly heard them say that scientists still don't fully understand the causes of lightning. These guys had all these high speed cameras aimed at the sky hoping for lightning strikes so they could evaluate what they see.
So dutch boy you better start watching some discovery channel or weather channel more often to learn something....stupid!...lol
