Just found out I have to do 9 months in jail....

What is today?

Nine months is nothing, Mind your own business and you will be fine, but if someone gets in your face say nothing at all just knock'em out or give it your best shot to show you ain't no little punk even if it means getting your ass kicked.

Gee, let me see - Freezy is going to jail for having a shit load of weed (not to smoke) and SPITFIREs story pretty much sums up WHY i don't wanna go to jail....

Thanks for getting back to me so soon.  All I meant was that nobody is going to see federal time from small time selling. 20 pounds is nowhere near small time, and the story I quoted was from a state pen - I'm sure the cellmate went back there on a parole violation for weed or was moving huge amounts.  We'll see what Freezy ends up with I guess 

But hey, I'm glad you don't sell weed, if that's for you.  You know what they say... one dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way.

First of all, it's a sad day in America where people are going to County for any marijuana charge....regardless of the amount.  I could go on all day about how marijuana should be legal, but right now that's not relevant.

I agree with the gentleman earlier who said that boredom will be your biggest enemy.  If you've ever watched MSNBC late night, you've probably seen "Locked Up", where they send their camera men into maximum security prisons across the country.  This is not going to be your reality.

Spend the 4-7 months reading, learning and just trying to better your predicament.  After the sentence has been handed down (barring an appeal) try and accept the situation and stay present in it.  Don't try to grasp for something in the past or obsess about the future...just stay present with the current situation.

Read as much as you can, and try not to worry about the cut off from the outside world.  4-7 months might seem like awhile, but in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing.  You'll be out before you know it, so make sure you take advantage of your time the best that you can.

Good luck man.  It's a shitty situation that nobody wants to go through, but you'll be alright.

My court date got adjourned until Monday.  But on Monday, I am pleading to the 9 months.  Going to be a rough day. Once I plea, I have 5-6 weeks until sentencing, when I go in. On Monday I can tell my story to you all.

I couldnt ever do time thats why I keep my crimes small. I think you should get 5 uncle John's bathroom readers and read read read. Those books if you read them cover to cover are fun and have a load of useless knowledge. Keep to yourself and remember any time someone wants to challenge you its not a bad thing to walk away. These idiots are telling you to fight. All that will get you is MORE time and possibly solitary. Stay in your fucking cell and pray to god your employer doesnt fire you which he has a right to do.

Hugh Jorgan....you are right, it is irrelevant at this point.  On the other hand, I believe this is a perfect forum for expressing one's beliefs about legalizing marijuana.

Ofcourse if it were legal, having 20lbs wouldn't make you the same kinf of money, that's for sure.

once your in establish a routine, pick a good cellmate, some people do the time,others let the time do them, 9 moths aint shit it will be the fastest 9 months ever if you keep busy by working out reading, and playing cards, shit last time i was in i even had my girl load my 5dimes account and i was placing bets

if your into weed, fill up ballons grease ur ass w/vaseline and stick a couple up ur ass so you can smoke

keep to yourself dont fuck w/everybody,dont smile,learn how to say no,and dont let anyone punk you, other guys will come up to you to show you ropes, and try to be helpful w/ deodorant soap, and stuff untill you go to commisary, just watch they dont want too much in return

but in a nutshell one thing will help you do time most its MONEY

i been locked up 3x in life and did well over 10 years , it sucks
