Jesus has never said loving money and trying to get them the easy way is wrong...lol

However He did say, "Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the disires of your heart will also be. ---Matt. 6:19-21

"No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."---Matt. 6:24

Now as far as gambling is concerned, there are all different types of gamblers, the high-rollers, the every day degenerates who have to get action somewhere almost like a drug addict that needs his drug daily so to speak, the occassional type, etc.

It is very hard to get accurate statistics but most sources believe that only a mere 3 to 5% of gamblers actually make money in the long run and so for you to say it is easy money in reality it is quite the contrary. The majority of gamblers do not store up or hoard any money from gambling because they are losers.

Gambling is a very bad habit for many, ruining you financially as well as socially if you let it get out of control, however if you're the type of gambler that occassionally gambles and is not out of control with it then it is ok, so it depends on your personal situation.

Gambling or investing money in the stock market are not sinful acts, both have risks and rewards, but as I have mentioned the rewards in gambling are just for a few in the long run so one is better off just not gambling at all.

Lastly, always know that in your life God is first!!

"Jesus has never said loving money and trying to get them the easy way is wrong...lol "

Guess you don't know your own bible:

Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.
    (Ecclesiastes 5:10)

Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

Gambling is a way to bypass work, but the Bible counsels us to persevere and work hard:

Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth. (Proverbs 10:4)

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (1 Timothy 6:17)

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God

The money that gamblers gamble with came from their earnings at work and as I said majority will lose it when they gamble and so majority are not making easy money and as I also said one is better off not gambling at all.

You are just like smartapple...misinterpreting what you are reading.

So I'm still waiting for that quote by Jesus where He said, "Loving money and trying to get them the easy way is wrong." I just don't see it in my bible...Oh I know why, it's because He never said that. Don't be putting up false words that you claim came from Jesus...that's just not right.

Hey MISFITS, you try really hard to dismiss A Higher Power, man that is too bad.  Somehow I have a feeling, your life may not be what you had hoped, your faith dimished by a lackluster, disappointing upbringing possibly.  Someone or somehting has let you down and why beleive in anything right?  But you don't need anythign as spirtual or beautiful as the good teachings of the Bible or Jesus Christ, I bet your life is complete without Him?  I sure hope your not a father, but then if you are it disappoints me you don't seem to have a happy soul to pass on to the next generation.  And the cycle never ends.

Gambling and the love of money is a sin according to Jesus - no matter how you try to justify your wrong doing.
Come Judgement Day and you will realize this!

Read the bible quote, why does the bible advise against gambling?

because the love of money becomes the root of all evil.

If i spend $950 of my $1000 wage on gambling resulting in me and my family living in poverty, then it is the root of evil.

If i spend $50 of my $1000 wage on gambling and i easily provide for myself and my family, how is that evil? What is the difference if i gamble that $50 or instead by a shirt? contribute it to a holiday? Go to nice resteraunt etc etc?

It is not the action itself, BUT level of action and its consequence.

Even a 5 year old can interpret this correctly, something you seem to have difficulty with....

So is investing in the stock maket a sin? How is studying what stocks to buy different to trying to pick the winner between the Yankees and tigers?

What you are doing is equivocating.

What you are saying is this, drinking 1 beer a week socially is the same as an alcoholic who drinks day and night..

Please tell me the time and date you "chose" to be gay or hetero...

people die in much worse ways everyday for doing nothing more than speaking their mind. would i do it is irrelavent. the current historical record of such individuals are too numerous to count. an example would be the self immolation performed by young men in algiers which herald the "arab spring". similiar shocking acts of self sacrifice were found during the us invasion of vietnam. individuals would set themselves on fire in public spaces, bringing in vivid detail to life what was happening to innocents in the rural countryside. If the protrayel of these horrors, in this instance napalm, would put a stop to these atrocieties by even one more day, they felt their sacrifice would be worth it.

E'fin hell right it is a sin by your own standards (the bible)! In fact, your participation in your local capitalist system makes you a sinner. Go, sell everything you have, and give to the poor. mark something or other. If you are not working to serve other, and giving everything you have to those less fortunate than you, you are not doing gods work, and helping to realize the kingdom of god on earth. your self obsessed masturbation with the answer to all does not foot the bill. neither is quibbling with strangers on an internet gambling site. you sir, are a sinner who cannot even take the first step, and drop out of a "corrupt" society, and live by your master's teachings.

Right, you know, when i see elderly woman, i have a DESIRE to kill them. I dont know why, but i do. This strong desire to kill them has always been with me, especially since i turned into an adult.

I think i was born with it, i didnt choose to be like this, i must have been born like this.

I am off now to go to the local retireman village and shoot them all.

Hey, dont blame me, it is this strong desire within me that wants to do it.

Some say there is a chemical inbalance in my brain that i was born with, therefore, it isnt my fault, i am just doing and fulfilling the desires that i was born with.....Therefore, its right.

This just proves Jesus' point about loving money.
She just wants more - greedy woman, Even if it's small change she just wants more money.

For your information - the super rich don't usually play extravagantly in public.
    They play in private.

For your information - the super rich don't usually play extravagantly in public.
    They play in private.

Right, so she is worth 20-30 mill or whatever, and she is trying to win $10? She loves money?

Just like when i have 1 beer on a Friday night, i am an alcoholic......

So when i have 1 beer with my dinner at night, i am drinking it because

    a) i want to get drunk like an alcoholic

    b) It quenches my thirst and it satisfies my taste buds

If Rihana gambles $10 on blackjack, she is gambling because

    a) she loves money, wants easy money, and she is trying to win her mortgage payments money by betting $10 a hit

    b) She is out, having fun and wants to play a game
