1. On Christianity I find it mind-boggling that socalled Christians condemn other people - e.g. in this thread gays.
We are not condemning anyone but were merely pointing out the laws that God has given us that we must all obey. It is God who will judge us all based on our deeds and it is He who will administer rewards or punishments come Judgment Day on people who justly deserves them.
2. If Jesus was as portrayed in the bible he surrounded himself with the outcasts/outsiders of society - e.g. person. If he was alive today I am sure he'd do the same and he'd definitely not surrounde himself with the hypocrites on the religious right.
Yes He did surround himself with the outcast, these following verses in the bible will explain why he did that.
As Jesus was walking along, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector's booth. "Follow me and be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him. Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with such scum?" When Jesus heard this, He said, "Healthy people don't need a doctor---sick people do." Then He added. "Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices. For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners."---Matthew 9:9-13
So as you can see here Jesus surrounded himself with the outcast because they were the sinners and needed His help to become well again, in otherwords to change from their sinful ways to become righteous like the ones who were already righteous. So this one passage in the bible should help you understand why He surrounded himself with the outcast.

We fill it everyday with everything from television, cell phones, alcohol, drugs, lust, work, etc. which gives us all a certain level of satisfaction. But it will always be temporary and never enough. Why is that? Because we are born to be reunited with God, to love God as if we have faith like a child. That's the only way that void in our hearts can be fulfilled, by loving the Lord God with all your heart. I'll prove it, it's so simple. How many of you are lousy at giving? I'll be the first to raise my hand. I have to learn how to give to my wife, children, my neighbors, those in need, every single day. Most of the time it's a conscious choice. Sure, I can put some change in the cup of some less fortunate than myself, but once I feel that my life is inconvenienced, I immediately revert back to my selfishness. And that especially goes for our relationships with our spouses, our kids, our parents, etc. It's easier to think of what I'm not getting rather than what I'm giving. We are addicted to ourselves, we are obsessed with being our own god.
I have found that this discussion can go back and forth endlessly. The most reliable method of getting in touch with God and beginning to learn about Him, is to talk directly to Him. Pray to Him as sincere as you can be at that moment as often as you can remember, asking Him to reveal Himself in your life. If God says who He says He is, He will answer your prayer. And be honest, tell Him that you don't believe in Him, tell Him why, just like you're having this discussion. Please know that He will most likely answer your prayer not the way you think it's going to be. He will surprise you. Keep praying, it will happen. That's His promise straight out of the Bible, not mine.

As i said, just like the homosexual has there urges and feelings to sleep with the same sex (they didnt choose that remember) as i have the same urges and feelings to kill elderly woman (i didnt choose to feel and have those urges).
Your mantra is, if you are born with it and it is who you are, then it is ok to commit it. Fine, does that mean it is ok for me to murder elderly woman?
You have commited a fallacy of double standards here.
On one hand you are saying if you dont have the ability to chose if you are person or hetro (cause you are born with it) it is ok to comit it BUT for people who are born "mentally ill", phsyciatric illness then it is not ok to commit there murder.
Why is one ok and the other is not? Both people were born with that makeup....

That's the point I was making a few days ago when I was debating with smartapple. He also believes gays are born to be gay and to them it is the right way, and so I said to him that if serial killers claim to be born to be serial killers then it is the right way to them too and we should just let it be...but of course he did not have a reply for that. Sounds like a double standard here eh?
Bottom line as we know Rostos, gays and serial killers choose to be that way and they weren't born to be what they are and lastly both are wrong and both are sinful and can't be excused by unsubstantiated arguments that they were born that way.

My own take on this is that we, as humans , are incapable of defining who, what, where, when, how God. To me, it seems that whenever we try to describe God, we are simply trying to put God in our pocket, we are trying to place ourselves on god's level if we are able to define God. Too many times, mankind has done unspeakable atrocities to each other, often in the name of God.
everybody should chill and and enjoy the one gift that we do have and that is life. why would anybody expect/ want something better than life. Should God decide I am worthy of everlasting lafe, i will be sending out high fives to evryone. until then, however, I am in his grace and will appreciate every breath i take.
Just imagine if everyone who does something wrong, claims that they couldn't help it because they were born to do what they are doing...wow! what a real terrible world this would be.
The habitual bank robber gets caught, goes to jail, then goes to trial, acts as his own lawyer, tells the judge, I can't help what I did because I was born to be a bank robber and so I should be let free because to me it is the right way! The judge says ok, case dismiss, you were born to be a bank robber so we just can't punish you because to you it is the right thing to do...lol
Then pretty soon when other people will hear that all you got to do when you get caught for doing something wrong is tell them you couldn't help it because you were born to do the wrongful deed that you did.
Then before you know it, there will be no one imprisoned for anything, the whole world will be in complete chaos, everybody stealing, killing, commiting anything their hearts desired until finally the end of civilization and the end of the human race comes. Just because we were born to do any wrongdoing without punishment.
what is the big deal?
I mean he is the son of God, why does it matter that he gave his human life on the cross. What is a human life worth in the Kingdom of God?
Is this really that big of a sacrifice? Think about it. If he dies at 27 or at 77 what is the difference? If he dies in his sleep or on the cross, what is the big deal? He is the son of God for crying out loud, what would the worldly issues matter for his life when he will spend the next 10,000 years at the right hand of God?

Just imagine if everyone followed all these laws...think of how much better everyone's life would be.
