There is 100% no way, without a collective bargaining agreement, that Workers Comp can deny coverage for a working employee in his/her field. Yes, I know this for a fact. I work in an employer industry.

its not pay as you go, its you dont live in the area that pays taxes for the service therefore you shouldnt get it for free. and, the fee was only instituted after multiple "false alarm" calls by the "outsiders" which costs $$.

the homeowner had a choice, pay $75 to receive firefighter services when needed or dont pay it and not receive the services. HE CHOSE NOT TO PAY THE $$$, thus he was risking the threat of a fire ruining his house. now the firefighters could have been nice and put the fire out, but they were under no obligation to, and chose not to.
i dont know anyone on covers, or this thread personally, but i would wager that those defending the homeowner are not free market ppl. in a free market, you have choices, and with choices come CONSEQUENCES, both good and bad. non free market ppl dont want to be held accountable for making a bad choice. they want bailouts, govt takeovers, and handouts.

"stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold", i know youre going to argue and argue, but even you know deep down in that blackened soul'less heart that this whole watching a man's house burn to the ground was inhuman and disgusting, there were alternatives before and after that fire started, it's a shame that the bottom line trumps compassion in rural tennessee.
here is the big issue with those of us not automatically on the homeowners side.
the homeowner had a choice, pay $75 to receive firefighter services when needed or dont pay it and not receive the services. HE CHOSE NOT TO PAY THE $$$, thus he was risking the threat of a fire ruining his house. now the firefighters could have been nice and put the fire out, but they were under no obligation to, and chose not to.
i dont know anyone on covers, or this thread personally, but i would wager that those defending the homeowner are not free market ppl. in a free market, you have choices, and with choices come CONSEQUENCES, both good and bad. non free market ppl dont want to be held accountable for making a bad choice. they want bailouts, govt takeovers, and handouts.
