Sit Michael Turner?

Not really planning on doing so unless I'm missing something or someone can be really persuasive.

 

The reason I put it out there is Yahoo is predicitng only 9 points for Turner against the Vikings.

 

My other option, Pierre Thomas, is projected to have 18 points against the Lions.

 

I start two backs in my league. Adrian Peterson is my other. He's projected to have 21 against the Falcons.

 

I generally don't let projected points influence my decision making too much but it seems crazy to have that disparity between Turner and Thomas. I know Minnesota has an excellent run D but Turner is a beast and one of the Williams boys being out on that D-line should help his numbers.

 

Thoughts/opinions?

It's a tough call... I think Brees is going to air it out needs like 700+ yards to catch Marino's record. Pierre should benefit some from the HB screens.

 

Tough call Thomas has better matchup on paper, but do you bench the guy who got you there. Sorry to be of little help but only you know what decision you will be able to live with.

@ PHI, 17 att, 58 yds, 0 tds

 

I'd be more likely to make the switch from Turner to Thomas if the Vikings didn't have the injury issue on their D.

 

BustinPiles - you're line about "benching the guy that got you there" is so true. It's funny but I do feel a sense of loyalty in a way to start him. Same goes for Thigpen this week.

 

Right now I've still got Turner in the lineup and doubt I will make the change.

 

Looks like I'll be rolling with Thigpen over Hill and Orton as well.

Ive got Turner and was wondering the same thing. Problem is Im weak in the RB category with only S. JAckson and Jamal Lewis. Theres no way I bench Turner over Lewis that bum. Now watch that bum go off against Cincy. Still theyre expecting temps in the 30's on Sunday in Cleveland so I, going with Turner.

Your in a better spot being its v. Detroit inside. I think you wont be dissapointed either way.

I lean to Pierre Thomas, but I could be biased because I'm starting him in my championship game this weekend and my opponent has Turner.

I've had a change of heart and as of now Thomas is in my lineup over Turner.

 

 

Off to a good start in my championship game with 20 points from Dallas Clark last night.

 

Yea Thomas should score a couple times in Detroit where Turner scoring is not as much a guarantee as Thomas getting in there at least once if not twice.
