It is official in the big league moving on to the semifinals. Come away with about a 15 point win. Ravens D and McClain made it interesting for awhile from my opponent.

Local league should move on as well huge lead 38 points with my opponent having DeMangelo left. Non PPR so it would require some serious circus trick to lose this.  Ed Reed my IDP was huge 2 INT 1 Fumble recovery for a TD

Ok here is what I will be breaking down as the week goes on.

QB Brees  at Chicago....Will need a weather report. Struggles in the elements.
    vs QB Warner Minn

    RB Barber ????  NYG
    RB C Johnson at Hou
    RB L White at Hou

    WR Ca Johnson at Ind
    WR Driver at Jax
    WR Mason Pitt
    WR M Jones GB
    WR R Williams NYG

    TE Keller Buff
    TE Scafie at Hou

    K Akers Cle
    K Longwell at Ariz

    D Tampa  at Atl
    D Minn at Ariz

    1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D or
    1QB  1 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1K 1 D

    Have some thoughts later...

Hard to believe, but I might have to consider benching Brees for Thigpen if the weather is lousy in Chicago.

Think you have the right idea on Brees check weather and base the start off of that.

I know you love Barbur and if he was on my team I would love him also
but the TENN combo will take you all the way and Barbur is banged up Choice is looking good and NYG next week think you Go TENN COMBO

Johnson is a must start every week!
2nd WR think Driver but will get back to you on this one probably change my mind(thought you had Walter for some reason)

Favre loves Keller you should 2(especially if you are PPR)
Bo is good but dont see him getting TD

Longwell but I dont know squat about kickers so dont take my word for it

sorry about the advice about Minny last week but gosh think you need to go with them again ALT seems to score on everyone(TONS)

but gL will defentily be back with more advice and questions

Won my 1/4final game 102 to 57. This week will be much tougher. My opponent has Westbrook, Slaton, McNabb, C. Johnson, A. Johnson, and Shockey to name a few.

    My choices are as follows.
-I'm leaning Thigpen vs SD over Orton vs NO but weather for both could be a factor.
-Will start Breaston and Bruce again at WR. Need to choose between Colston and Cotchery for the third WR spot.
    -Dallas Clark over Z. Miller.

Think I'm going to drop Miller and pick up either Seneca Wallace (NFH ) or S. Hill. Either might be a better alternative at QB if the weather sucks in Chicago and KC.

Bustin Piles - I like Warner vs Minny.
                      - C. Johnson and Driver at WR.
                      - 2 RB's, either both Titans or CJ and Barber if he's healthy enough.
                      -Keller at TE.
                      -Longwell at K
                      -Coin flip for D's.

Eli has only outproduced Brees 3 times out of 14 weeks.... So I think I would stay with Brees unless it is going to be really crap weather Thursday night. I'm thinking Warner as Minnesota pass D has been exploited in the past . Playing in the desert will have ideal circumstances.

I saw that Seneca played. Did Hasslebeck get hurt again after Thanksgiving?  Good matchup against St. Louis. But probably an extremely risky proposition over the vet Favre. Maybe you pick him up just to keep someone else from grabbing him

Clutch- San Diego pass D has been atrocious so I would tend to favor Thigpen at this point over Orton.

Don't know what to tell you Colston hasn't looked right most of the season... Cotchery has also disappeared from NYJ offense so not expecting a big production from both, but would think Colston has more upside.

I just picked up both Hill and Wallace. Dropped Z. Miller and GB D. Think you're probably righ BP about Thigpen over Orton. Was definitely leaning Colston over Cotchery. Not much on the waiver wire except guys like Jenkins, Branch, Steve Smith (NYG).

Ok here is what I am thinking.... Media reporting yesterday J Jones thought Barber could have played. (Translation why the hell where you not on the field?)

    Warner  QB in the desert
    C Johnson RB
    Calvin Johnson WR
    Driver WR
    Keller TE
Akers K ( Have points available on Monday night if I need them)
    Tampa D

Real risky proposition but inclined to save spot for Barber at RB... If made inactive would be put in a position to must start Roy Williams at WR. As all other players on my roster would be exhausted.

    B Marshall WR

    Bustin-
As always thanks for the advice in my thread. One more question for you though. Which defense would you play this week? Baltimore or Indy? Gotta love the Colts matchup against the Detroit Lambs, but the Ravens seems to be getting it done for me every week.

    Thanks man

why dont u try and pick up choice so if for some reason barber is inactive you still have an alternative???  i played him last week and he did pretty good for me.

made it past my opening round game and into the semis:

QB: Warner vs. Minn or Thigpen vs. SD, Farve vs. Buff

RB: T. Jones vs. Buff, C. Johnson @ Hou, and Barber vs. NYG (also have choice)

WR: Royal @ Car and Breaston vs. Minn or Cotchery vs. Buff, Muhammad vs. Den, Edwards @ Phil

TE: Cooley @ Cin or could pick up shiancoe @ Zona

    K: Crosby @ Jax

    Def: Balt vs. Pitt

Start: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, Flex (NO ppr)

    What's your take?

Brett Favre vs Bills  or David Gerrard vs GB...not to high on either option.

At WR  Greg Jennings and Rhoddy White are must starts, but I need a third option.

Lee Evans vs Jets or Derrick Mason vs Pitt...Leaning Evans but QB situation is making me question it....

blstuart- Indy looks to have a great matchup, but I will be pulling for the Lions in this one as my opponent has Indy D.  Pitt/Baltimore should be a real physical low scoring contest too.  Lean to Indy but hope I'm wrong.

Jw1ls- Choice was nabbed first waiver wire after Thanksgiving... Didn't think Barber would actually miss time. The guys in this league are pretty sharp.

    Warner
Jones and Johnson so you don't have to sweat Barber's status
    Royal and Breaston
    Cooley
You got the rest figured at K and Def

    LocoLocal-

Farve would be my choice of the too ...Garrard has looked like garbage late even though the GB defense has looked like crap 3 weeks ina row.

Mason is not flashybut he has been finding his way in the endzone. Pitt is tough enough to run against and with only 1 back emerging Sunday night. Would think he will need to see some balls his direction

BP congrats on your win. I start my playoffs this week and have a couple of questions.

Rivers @ KC or Thigpen vs SD

    I need two

    Bush @ Chi
    Dunn @ Atl
    Lewis @ Phi
    K. Smith @ Indy

    Need 3

    Roddy White vs TB
    Ward @ Bal
    TJ @ Was
    Holt vs Sea
    Moore @ Chi

NYG @ Dal or Car vs Den

Thanks man, I really have some bad choices so I need to make the most of the pics.

I think since I have the QB;s going head to head .. I would try figuring out who you think will win the game. This could be real tricky but I think I give a small lean to Rivers.

Bush...They will get him the ball... Screen passes galore.

    Dunn for the other

White, TJ and barely Ward over Lance Moore

NYG D need to rebound this week after the poor performance last week I would think.

BP that is what I was thinking, as I believe that SD wins this game. My concern is LT factor as in most of these meetings it has been all LT. I figure I could live with 250 in the air and two TD'S. I am thinking one will be deep to Jackson and that always helps. I have been hating the fact that TB has been giving the goal lines to Cadillac but if Dunn can take one to the house that will be great. Ward vs Balt is very scary, Holmes is the guy that Ben has thrown to. Just throwing this out and call me crazy if you like, what about Holt at home vs Sea?

Holt has been a real disappoint I think the fact they he was able to gut out a good season not great last year was a warning sign. I believe he has bad knees.... How the heck did Seattle take away Moss in that game is my question to you?  Welker was huge and would think..Holt will still see the #1 coverage. He may do really well in this spot... but as you said the options are all pretty risky.

True about Ward he only got 2 catches and 57 yards in the early matchup. I like Moore as a WR....maybe if the weather isn't to bad you take a chance with him

The only reason I like Moore is because he is the slot receiver, just like Housh and what better way to explaoit the cover 2 defense is over the LB and in front of the safety's. The weather should not be a problem for him as he played his ball in Toledo. If Brees lays an egg then he takes a RB and WR with him. That is my dilemna. I agree not sure how Sea took away Moss and until Avery can prove himself Torry will see Double coverage and of course Bulger could not hit the broad side of a barn If Moore can get me 60-80 in the air that is probably what Moore averages BUT he gets TD's. WOW
