Finals... Week #16 Fantasy Talk

I take out The #2 seed and the #4 takes out the #1 seed.

 

This team has a lot of game though... so I'll go ahead and give my current roster.

 

QB Brees  <  Yes, Saved him for this gave after 2 weeks on the bench against the Lions

QB Warner  @ NE 

 

RB Barber ...Balt D and Choice clearly is the better back to help the Cowboys at this point... Will take a seast for the 2nd consecutive week.

RB C Johnson ...Bad matchup but not a lot of other choices. RB screens galore would be nice.

RB White- No thanks goaline plunges are going to cut it this week.

RB D Foster...What an acquistion...Special thanks to blaineg... Great matchup against the Rams...He's a go unless Gore gets activated

RB Morris Unlikely choice in a 3 headed RB attack.

 

WR Calvin Johnson... Against Jason David... Sign me up

WR Driver... He's a go against a not to great Bears pass D

WR Mason... Unlikley goes against Cowboys D who played lights out against the Giants

WR Roy Williams The bust of my draft stays where he is been for most of the season parked on the bench.

As usual my WR spots are the main question for me. I need 3 between:

 

Colston

Cotchery

Bruce

Breaston

 

Leaning towards first 3 and benching Breaston.

 

At QB it's between Orton, Thigpen, and Hill. Leaning Thigpen.

 

I have Peterson and Turner as my 2 RB's. Any reason to bench one for Pierre Thomas this week? I couldn't do it no matter what the matchups.

 

Dallas Clark at TE.

 

Gostkowski at K.

 

Pitt D.

really no lean yet, really a toss-up in my opinion - royal does get returns as well (1 point for every 25 yards returned)

I answered some of you guys questions in your threads.

 

Clutch- I think it would be hard for me to argue Pierre over the other guys, but think he will still also have a good game.

 

Orton is going to be playing again in the elements so would pass on him strictly for that reason.

 

I think production will be similar between Thigpen/Hill... I really warmed up to Hill last time in San Francisico they plasted these guys, will be indoors so probably slight lean toward him.

 

I think you bench Breaston and roll with the top 3 WR's.

J Quest- I think I speak for all in that we wish we had your lineup problems

 

I think I go Roddy and Randy as my starting WR's ..Boldin won't suck either but you have to worry more about Fitz and Breaston getting the catches.

 

Westbrook...always, LT ..is still LT in my book always... T Jones.

 

S Jax has looked better as of late but I think i want the guys that all have something to play for ...San Diego still has an outside chance at winning AFC West as bad as they have played this season

JW1LS - Kind of lean Farve.... Has Seattle all of a sudden found defense. They team I saw on Thanksgiving let up tons of big plays against the Cowboys. Jets need this one and should be able to pull out all the stops.

 

Jones and dare I say Foster will outproduce Chris Johnson... Tough call I probably roll with the guy that got me here.

 

I think I go Royal, Edwards(Appeared this week with Dorsey as QB should be able to score against Cincy) and Bruce.... Cotchery showed up last week but Farve has a lot of targets.Breaston was nonexistent last week so I think I have to bench him.

 

Kickers dont' ask... Would go with a guy indoors so probably Elam or Hartley

Like the lineup but 1 question how do you sit David Green Akers after MNF miracle.  But this is also coming from someone who does not play kickers.

I would say Evans... seeing what S. Smith and a lot of others have been able to do against this Denver D, but you got JP Losman as a QB. Holt has found a little late season magic and might be willing to take a risk with him.

 

I cannot consider Cedric Benson as a viable fantasy option...drafted him last year in the 3rd round ...Major Drano... Finding Grant turned my season around.

 

Miami let D. Foster find some daylight last week sometimes at 5 -10 yards a pop ... I'd go with LJ has not really had a big game since like week #3 or #4.

Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (ankle) missed the team's practice Thursday, Dec. 18, and he is expected to be questionable for the team's Week 16 game.

I hope I'm not overthinking. I'm usually not as indecisive or make as many roster changes as I have this week.

 

I was all set to go with Thigpen at QB but have switched to Hill mainly so I don't have to worry about the weather.

 

Had Cotchery in but with Boldin looking less and less likely I think Breaston is probably the better play.

 

Hardest of all was putting Thomas in for Turner.

 

Dallas Clark gave me a nice start with his game last night.

 

Clutch- I honestly think Pierre Thomas is this years Stecker ( Deja vu vibe I'm getting) I still think the Saints will air it out more than run. But we know how Payton likes to run HB screens. Just be comfortable with your decision so if you lose you thought it out well enough to put the guys in you want.

 

I'll stand by my earlier statement of Thigpen/Hill will have similar numbers...

 

Breaston is certainly a viable option if Boldin is inactive... but something hasn't looked right with the is offense the last couple of weeks and not sure they get it corrected going to the East Coast again

Breaston right now is the only iffy one. Have to keep an eye on Boldin and the weather. I gotta say thouh, Breaston has been pretty steady even during the Cards bad games. Not a big TD guy but he gets the yards.

I don't mind... I live north of New Orleans. Mandeville, LA  work in NOLA.

 

I lived in NYC when i went to school there 93-97. Not sure what part of Jersey you are in?  But had a really good friend/classmate.

I learned about Taylor ham's... The first time he said that I was like what the hell is that?  Apparently it is a late night dejour in Diner's 

My relatives are in Washington and Maringouin. Had a family reunion of sorts there about 4-5 years ago. We stayed in Breaux Bridge. Had a great time. The people were awesome.

 

I grew up in NY. Mainly northern Westchester, some LI and Brooklyn. I live in Montclair now. Super convenient for going to Jets games.

 

It's funny how taylor ham is a total NJ thing and yes, very popular at diners any time of day.

looks like barber is held out or not productive and gore to be gametime decision.
