Yo benny some sleepers for ya Cameron Maybin is a Hanley Ramirez clone with slighty less power he is gonna be huge this year im sure u can get him in the 12-14th round Jasion Motte is the closer for STL also also if u can get ryan howard 6-12 pick i would take him i think this is gonna be a big year too i think he will raise his batting average he has 9 homeruns in spring already.....goodluck

I'm a huge mets fan and know howards a stud but it would pain me to take him as my first round pick. Hopefully I have one of the top 5 picks and can get Hanley, Wright, or Pujols.

I have been preaching Nelson Cruz for a year. He's not as much of a sleeper anymore but he's going kind of late. Dont let him fall too far. The guy is an absolute beast.
Marcus Thames is also a great source of power now that Sheffields gone.
Chris Carpenter's going very late and he is having a tremendous spring.

in a 12 person league how late do you think these guys fall?
Thames hasnt been drafted at all so I really couldnt tell you if people are aware of what he can do now that Sheff is gone. If he is getting drafted it probably wont be until the late late rounds.
Ive been in two 12 man drafts so far and Cruz went 9th and 11th. Carpenter went 11th and 15th. I drafted Carpenter both times so I dont know if I jumped the gun or not. I thought I could wait a couple rounds on Cruz but he got drafted earlier than I expected both times.

I did 3 drafts a couple weeks ago and picked up Cruz in all 3 league between picks 154-173. Don't think he'd go that late now but he's still incredibly undervalued.
In 104 games in Triple A last year this guy hit .341 with 37 HR, 100 RBI, 94 R and 24 SB!!!
He was then called up in September by the Rangers last year and promptly hit .330 with 7 HR, 26 RBI, 19 R and 3 SB.
So far in just 16 games this spring he's clubbed 6 HR, 16 RBI and 14 R.
Here's the scariest part of all: He's penciled in as the clean-up hitter behind Josh Hamilton in one of the most dangerous lineups in the AL!

personally i think maybin will amount to very little this year.... he is way too undisciplined at the plate... if he even plays all year.. id say his ceiling is similar to lastings milledge numbers last year... but i dont think he even approaches that at all

nolasco/johnson/lilly will net the Ks in a very stealth manner. think lackey's owners regret grabbing him early? hitting stats always most predictable and pitchers usually emerge 3:1 over hitters during the season (cliff lee, nolasco, johnson, etc) so load up on bats...tellin ya...
(u don't have to win every category, just don't finsh last.)

I for one am a huge fan of N.Cruz, he will be what everyone expected J.Upton to be although I am still holding out hope on Upton but the window is closing..
not sure what to make of this Wilson dude in Seattle but he is tearing the cover off the ball
sleepers 1b - P.Sandoval 2b - A.Ramirez, DeRosa 3b - A.Beltre (contract year) C - J.Baker, Ianetta Of - Cruz, Upton, D.Span, M.Kemp P - Gallardo, Carpenter, Slowey RP - Motte

Travis Snider id a definite Rookie of the year candidate. Both are OF's
Got Jones in 11th round and Snider in the 16th of 20 round draft. Two guys in my draft never heard of Snider.
Sleeper pitcher
Chris Volstead Florida former #1 draft choice. Won 6 games last year with 2.88 era and 1.32 whip with 52 K's in 84 innings. Should win at least 12games this year
Adam Jones will be a 20-20 man for the orioles.

In my other league, I was doing 5x5 roto for the first time, and I panicked - did a terrible job drafting - Hanley fell to me w/ the 3rd pick, but then I picked Ichiro w/ my 2nd rd pick (before bleeding ulcer but still)
basically have a ton of speed, little power
my OF is Ichiro, Abreu, and a lot of hopefuls - I did get Cruz tho, so I hope he's the real deal....
Any thoughts on Denard Span? He could be a player for the Twins
