i dont like the confidence scoring but im down either way 

I can change it back but then im not 100% sure how the scoring is done, it just says Straight but then in the Rules it says Private Managers cant assign point spreads so then what? we'r picking just a winner without a Point Spread ? then the tie breaker comes down to who gets closer to the total #of points scored in the Championship game.. confidence isnt to bad, u list the games u like the best to worst n assign ur "best play" the most points then ur 2nd best play the second most points and so on.. u assign 1pt to the suckiest game like Ball St vs Akron Zips.. I can always change it back so lets see if anyone can tell us if Straight has point spreads and how that scoring is alloted to us.. its only a $25 pool for fun guys..

Why not...I'll either win a lot or lose enough.

And straight means...if there's 30 bowl games...and you pick the winning team (straight up) 15 times...you get 15 points.

I just don't like the confidence style because, if there's an upset on your highest confidence play...you're fucked.

And I like Paps far better than Madson. I rag on the guy because I hate him and his antics...but he's a great closer. If you go with that WAR stat...he's the most valuable closer over the last 5 seasons.

Personally...I don't follow WAR but I heard that stat and it must mean something. And he had great numbers last year and he'll be fine.

^post 381 thats the fun in it, u get way to deep into thought on things sparky, its a measly $25 pool, that should be chump change to most guys on here. its funny cause I sent out a bunch of PM's to guys that claim they wager like 2K+ a day on here n no response from them yet

1pt for each Win is ok but is it against the spread or just pick a winner w/out no lines.. if its no lines we'l have a ton of ties then it comes down to a tie breaker.. I think confidence points require much more thought..

Yea...I do overthink things. That's why I'm a bad gambler. That's also why I wouldn't do this kind of thing if it involved point spreads.

And there won't be a ton of ties. There were only 3 remaining in PSM's pool last year. There are tons of 1-3 pt spreads in these things where people will go either way.

I'm doing it regardless...just saying.

Once Upon a Time I was a good gambler. It was my first year gambling. I did REALLY good.

im currently in my last year of college sadly 

My college life.

Took a year off when I moved from NY to Georgia.

Didn't have the SAT numbers to get into the college I wanted to so I went to a school right down the block to make up for my credits.

I needed 50 credits to transfer. So I went over to the school that I WANT to go to and talk to this guy who told me I had enough credits. So I think I'm all find and dandy...WRONG.

I apply for the school and got denied because I was ONE CREDIT SHY. It's now too late to go back to my old school because classes already started.

So the guy who fucked up told me to apply for an appeal...which I did. But I wouldn't get the results back in time so I took an online course at ANOTHER college, which cost me $750 to take ONE FUCKING CREDIT because I HAD to take that class to be sure that I can start college again in the Spring.

Now I'm in the final week of my 4 week online class and I just found out last Friday that I won my appeal and I have been accepted. It's now too late to withdraw from the online class so I have to write a paper about steroids and it's effects (nothing too tough but annoying nonetheless).

Then...I'll be ready to finally start towards my major, Sports Management, and hopefully, by the time the season comes around, I'll be polished enough to try out for the baseball team.

But I can happily say that all my writing on covers has made me a great writer. I've had nothing but rave reviews from any English teacher I've ever had dating back to 6th grade.

I'm gonna register into the college pool later tonight, I'm down either way, one question with the confidence point system is, do you have a set amount of points to wager on all the games or is it a set amount of points per game? Oh and also, if you lose the game do you lose the points you placed on that game?

Ive been busy the last few nights. Ill be on later after the kids go to bed to get everything answered.

Dante: i think theres 34 bowl games so u would assign 34 points to ur best Play, 33 to ur second best play and 1pt to ur worst play, no points deducted for loses. person with most points at end would win.. im open to all opinions

2nd -you play baseball? and are going to try out for a top D1 school?

Kennesaw St. It's the 3rd largest school in Georgia after Georgia U and GTech. But it's known for it's baseball. 2 years ago they had a few pitchers in the first round. They are D-1 basketball but I'm not sure how baseball works.

But it really doesn't matter when it comes to baseball. You get scouted on your ability. You can play for SHIT University in Alaska...but if you throw 100 mph with pinpoint control...they'll find you.

we'll figure out if its Confidence Points or Straight.. so far i have roughly 10 responses and 5 want Straight and 5 like Confidence.  im leaning Confidence Points         i know there will be shit ass Bowl games that deserve 1 n 2 points and others that i would have no problem assigning 34 to..    makes it more of a challenge applying points.. and like i said, its for fun and its just $25 bucks, not like its 100 a man..
