Now take milsap out of that deal and I think it works out to be fair (I think, I'm gonna look at it more closely)

Depending on needs...Johnson is better than Milsap. He's ranked 9th over the past 14 days (since Horford went down). Scoring a shit ton of points in the process along with 3's. Eric Gordon's recovery time could be another 6 weeks they said now. You're getting the big boost in 3's and points.

That's why I can't trade Johnson straight up. He fills the stat sheet every night like Smith does (with the exception of blocks).

Sparky I'm not feeling your trades buddy, I have been really looking into this and it just doesn't seem right... Paul dalembert and milsap can pretty much all be top 20 players, with Paul being a top 10 and milsap on the verge of being a top 10 guy. And each guy is a different type of player, Paul is gonna be my assist guy, dalembert my grinder with reb, blocks, sht % and milsap just fills a score sheet out

Paul and dalembert for smith, Johnson and the other guy seems like A fair deal.
Take out Paul and keep milsap and dalembert and pick any other guy you like and yeah that trade looks good to me.

Manram I countered the one offer I liked, the other 2 were way off... It seems ok to me, but if you want to adjust it go for it...let's get something done. After what happened to me last time with my fuck up with sparky I'm gonna be taking a big look at all trades

Dante:   what are u and sparky working on ?

Johnson/Smith for Paul/Milsap/Dalembert is not fair at all sparky if thats what ur pushing..   Paul is a top 5 player no doubt, Milsap ready to break the top 10 and worst case he's = to Smith and thats being kind, so Paul/Dalembert for Joe Johnson

^ its because your always trying to get over on people, u cant honestly say at this point in the season Johnson/Smith are = Milsap/Paul and Dalembert..

when i wanted Gortat i sent you Josh Smith and i didnt want Nash so i asked for Holiday, thats about as fair a trade offer u can get, ur happy and im happy...

All I know for sure about the Knicks is they aren't winning anything as long as D'Antoni is the coach.

    Thanks sparky

I really dont get a chance to watch knick games so it is hard for me to get a good feel for their team... so I appreciate the home town report...

Sparky, what is your prediction then for the starting guard situation for the knicks?

Im thinking davis will come in but not be able to play extended minutes or will get run down quickly...  so either way their will be a time share at PG... this might open the door for douglas who can a be spark off the bench to provide so second team scoring...

right now it seems like landry and sumpert are getting good minutes in what I assume is a reward for their effort on defense... Perhaps youre right about them being stories... but perhaps I like fantasy players that are gritty and get alot of stats by effort...

I think about what anthony mason would look like in fantasy leagues today...  not the most talented or an athletically gifted dunker...  but his career average per a game was 10.9pts, 8.30rbs, 3.4 assists... and shot better the 50% from the field and over 70% from the line...

Perhaps the this supposed to be a big 3 and they were hoping for paul or deron to join up...

But in reality they dont need another star like baron who needs the ball and on any night might decide to jack up 20 shots...

They need someone to play a rondo like roll from them in terms of distributing the ball to the stars...  rondo would be the perfect player for the dantoni fast paced offense...

bibby is too old and slow and cant play alot of mintues
douglas is a streaky scorer but not as good of a defender
neither douglas, landry nor shumpert are natural PGs...

I think there are back up PGs in the league that could step into the starting PG position for the knicks that would automatically make them better

    jared bayless
    dragic or udrih
a trade for hinrich could make sense if he can up to speed...

Well that's just my opinion on the matter. I could be dead wrong. Shumpert has already proved me wrong from game 1 on Christmas Day. I've been a doubter since the draft and hoped they went after Chris Singleton and while Singleton is playing well defensively, Shumpert is doing pretty good on offense, with the exception of terrible shot selection at times, which is what kills Toney Douglas.

As for the starting shooting guard situation...I think Fields will hold that job, but it won't mean too much because whoever is hotter will get the minutes and that will change on a nightly basis. But having 2 free shooters in Douglas and Shumpert on the court at the same time is, imo, a terrible idea and I would rather have Shumpert as the starting SG. Shumpert certainly doesn't lack effort...but he needs to learn better shot selection (something Douglas hasn't been able to do) and learn to be more of a distributor which would make his role THAT much bigger.

Well it's no secret that they wanted Paul but they would have had to wait until this offseason because they gave the world for Melo. But since they went after Chandler...they can't even afford DWill now.

And what pisses me off the most is how Dolan is a fucking moron and could have had Billups too. Billups had no problem staying in New York (hell, he was pissed when they amnistied him). They could have just declined his option and brought him on for less and still signed Chandler. Then they'd have a solid PG who can control the pace of the game. But that fuck is clueless. He figured he could use that contract as a trade chip mid season but ended up with NOTHING.
