I love the trade deadline.

Woke up early today to follow it. Stayed by my computer to see if there were any relievers to pick up who may be new closers. I was curious to see who the Yanks would get.

Very disappointing trade deadline for me. Well...as far as the 31st goes.

Sparky should i be pissed the Sox got Bedard while having Andrew Miller, Tim Wakefield, John Lackey in their rotation. I mean he is better then 60% of the starting 5

If you face the Phillies or Giants in the World Series than yes. But until then...you're riding the offensive wave that should take you to the World Series.

And then you have that whole thing with Bedard and hating the big lights and has shown that his "character" is a problem.

But yo shouldn't worry. Your offense is stacked in a scary way.

Jamoaks and jesron haven't responded to my offers. What really pisses me off is that Jamoaks posted in a matchup today and the offers are still there. As for jesron...I haven't heard from him since he commented about not liking the roster lock idea (he's the other guy with trades pending).

And this was a terrible week for me. I tried to play it conservative by just getting my max innings and keeping a low ERA...but Hellboy messed that up on Monday and URISS just had a sick pitching performance this week.

Then I lost Youkilis for a game and a half.
I lost Cruz for 2 and a half games.
No Beltre or Cargo for at least another week.
And Jeter and Granderson had an off day AND Girardi held them out of Game 1 of the double header.
And now Jeter is hurt.

It was just one of those weeks for me. Never had a chance.

Get ahold of Jamoaks and tell him to accept/decline please. It's not hard. It's a pitcher for a pick. How can it take so long to mull it over?

Anybody want Espinosa? He's going to be moving to shortstop next season. That's some nice production for a SS if you want to give him your prospect contract...

and u know Jamoaks doesnt trade so why bother ??  he's not gonna trade so stop wasting your time then getting frustrated over it..  what SP is it ?? and what Rd ? i might be interested

It's Chacin for a 2nd and Hellboy for a 3rd.

Even if someone doesn't like the offer or finds it stupid...there's a decline button. I know he doesn't trade but I figured I'd gve it a shot. Apparently he doesn't trade players and completely ignores draft picks.

I like Holliday but my only 2-year keeper is Latos and I figured I'd give it a shot. I still thought it's a good package, though.

I wonder if jesron went on vacation...or maybe he's not happy about the roster lock rule...that's not like him to just stop touching his roster. And he's in 3rd place no less.

even if guys are taking a vacation its no excuse to leave your team untouched.. you can set the roster for a week in advance or ask ManRam to edit it for you for a few days..  i went on a 4 day vacation and still edited my team every day and also added and dropped players and kept checking in on my team cause i was down 10-0 when i left and wound up winning 5-4     i guess some of us take it more serious then others but i cant see jesron being mad and acting that way just over the roster lock situation..

How so? I thought the winner of the comp. tourney gets the #1 pick. So they have something to fight for. It's not something that was ever set in stone but I remember talking about that and phillyfan told me I was right the last time I mentioned it.

Doesn't matter to me, however, since my team is fucked draft wise.

 

As for what I'm looking for. I'm trying to trade off Hellboy, Espinosa and Chacin for some picks. I guess I read it all wrong. Nobody seems to care about the prospect contract that can be put on the first 2.

I sell the guys as this. Hellboy is expected to be a STUD. He's shown signs of greatness and is still good when he's pitching poorly. And Espinosa will be a power/speed guy (low average) and will move to SS next season.

Wow. It's amazing. If you follow that WAR stat at all...the WORST among all of MLB is Adam Dunn at -1.8. The 2nd worst is a tie between Aubrey Huff and ANOTHER WHITE SOCK in Alex Rios at -1.7.

That's AMAZING that 2 people on the same team are the worst in baseball.

Ah well i dont care about any of them. I have Beachey for my prospect. Been pretty damn good this year. I have the best pick in the draft because its the only pick you could trade for where you KNOW you will be picking at #2 overall.
