 Thanks for the feedback in Bibs thread on the VT/Nebraska game. You made some good points why you are on the Hokies. I would love to see the Hokies win, cover, and win impressively, because that would help Bama in strength of schedule, but I have a gut feeling that Nebraska may win this thing. Maybe my gut feeling is just gas, so I will go chew a couple of Rolaids and see if it passes. thanks Tide... i think the bottom line for me on that game is that i have a very good read on how good VT is... i don't have a great read on how good Nebraska is, but i would have to be way off the mark with them to be wrong about the outcome... which is possible, i suppose...
 
let's say if NU wins... they actually have an outside shot of playing in the NC game... as fucked up as that sounds...

I think Pellini got some pretty good game film from the Bama game on how to defend VT, and Tyrod. They will try loading the box to stop the run, and if they are disciplined enough to contain on the ends to keep him bottled up, making him pass the ball, then I think Nebraska wins, but if they allow him to break containment, then it will be a long day for Nebraska. It will be interesting to see how it shapes up.

well i had to break down and throw a couple more bets on my card... as much as i hated to do it, i added a dog... but i offset it by adding another favorite, too... also made my NFL bets... bought the hook to get USM to 14... Jags line was already set at -120 juice...

i hear there are plenty of good seats available... maybe around the 2nd quarter you can upgrade that to a 3rd row 40-yd line seat...

Like all the plays, any take on NW this week? Like the NFL plays, originally liked teh spot Car was in. Not anymore. BOL this week.

Ice, all apologies. I misread this GT team a couple of weeks ago. I thought that the first half of the Clemson game indicated how good they were. I was wrong. Their 2ndary is awful. Bought my bet back at halftime tonite, still time left to go, but they are a good QBs wet dream. Sorry to ever mislead you into thinking that I thought they were an elite team. Error in judgement in my part.

no problem ksp... i have stayed away from them the last two weeks... clearly an over-hyped team, and not good by any stretch... i think this is also a solid indication that Clemson is not all that, either... i'm expecting a straight up BC win on Saturday...

JW isn't gonna like hearing me say this, but the more i look at it and think about it the more i think Fresno is gonna surprise and cover (or even win) against Boise... everything about this line and line movement smells like a trap...
 
just not sure, but i am tempted to put a little bit on Fresno... maybe a teaser to get it up to 14...

With you on Kansas and wanted to take AF but it shot up too fast. I settled on taking the team total. I need AF to score over 31.

I'm playing against you on a couple but I if Minny loses by -14 we both win.

i think i need to upgrade Baylor and Stanford... if Ok St was still down around 32 or less i would upgrade them, too... but i have OSU on a teaser, parlay and pleaser, so that's enough action on them...

oh yea... i think the Jets are gonna back up their talk against the Pats... although some of that is wishful thinking... but they clearly have the better defense of the two teams... and the better running game...

-UCONN is Traveling on its LONGEST trip EVER in the history of the Football program.  1,800 miles
-UCONN Injuries.  Starting QB out -w/knee, Back-up QB very ILL with Flu Virus and no practice.  WITTEN defensive STUD is ill. 
-Baylor is a quality program that BEAT Wake Forest on the road. Baylors HOME opener!
-Baylor little to no injuries and Loaded with experience.
-The Situation and Talent on the field is huge favoring Bears. 
-19 RETURNING STARTERS for Baylor! WATCH the yards pile up for Baylor Bears Rushing and Passing. 
-DEFENSE LB Pawelek .......Great!

yea that was a factor, ksp... but just one part of it...
 
dbrules gave a great write-up for the Baylor game... seriously banged up UConn team, deflated off of a bad loss... Baylor off of a bye, highly underrated defense...
 
Stanford is gonna be a good ATS team this year, and has a much improved passing game to go with an already solid running game... SJ St is pretty weak... they won't be able to keep up...
 
this Fresno pick makes me nervous... seems like a trap game, so i went with it, but i don't like betting against Boise, especially in this series... definitely my least favorite play on my card...

Clemson should bounce back fairly nicely.  I think BC is the overrated one here.  Clemson -7 for me

Boise/Fresno is the biggest ? of the year for me. Okay, Boise opened @ 10, 60%+ on Boise, line drops to 7.5 and holds. Definitely looks like the Cincy/Rutgers trap from week 1, but I've seen both of these teams play!!! Can't put my finger on this one, very odd. Boise 7-1 ATS last 8. GL

Fresno is the most undisciplined bet i've made this year... made it solely on the basis of reverse line movement and a fishy line... just goes to show, you have to cap the games... Boise is miles better than Fresno... no amount of fishiness or reverse line movement means shit when one team outclasses the other... one of those games i would never bet if i didn't browse the covers forums...
