I do agree with you that Bama had trouble in the past few years vs spread "quick" teams.. But Ohio St beat Bama on running the ball and playing better defense.. Everyone over looks the fact that tOSU had the best defense in the top 4 last year at that time of the season.. Defense wins championships IMO, and has been proven time and time again.. My point about Bama this year is the changes they've made to play better pass defense.. It all starts up front, and theirs not an OL in the country that can hold this Bama DL down.. None, zip, nada.... I know everyone wants to point to years past and prove Bamas deficiencies. But this is a new year, and they have a lot better cover guys and speed to play against those spread teams.. But it all starts up front.. Baylor for example runs the ball a lot, they need to run the ball to open up that elite passing game, what will happen if they are able to run the ball at -5 average and the QB has only 2-3sec to get the ball out? Then, do you think a team like Baylor is gonna keep Bama run game at bay? I use Baylor because IMO they have the best passing attack in the country.. But same goes for OKst, TCU, and others.. I don't think those teams could beat Bama.. Teams that I think have a shot are tOSU, Clemson, OU, and any other team that plays defense with a potent offense.. they have a HOME LOSS to a 3 LOSS TEAM and are ranked in the top4, that forces us to talk about them, no other team in the top10 could get away with those credentials, had clemson loss to that Ole Miss team they'd be out of the top10, much less the top4, its BS and Clemson is going to beat them if they play IN MY OPINION but I don't want to fight about it with some internet goon, I'll just put my money on it if they end up playing
