I am from about 25 miles in Ohio from where Miami-Ohio is located so consider my opinion biased but I really like Miami giving up less than a field goal. I actually think they win by two scores. Vandy is going to have a horrible year. Don't let the last few years fool you. A lot of the players that made the dream of a .500 season for Vandy a possibility are gone. Maybe if they were an SEC team having a down year you'd still like them against a MAC team, maybe even on the road. But for all intents and purposes Vandy is not really an SEC team. They don't get SEC quality football recruits.
They are always horrible. At least the doormats of other BCS conferences are occasionally good, like Northwestern in the Big Ten. But Vandy just doesn't want to build a big athletic program. They obviously could if they wanted to, there has to be a lot of alumni from that school with a lot of money that could be big time boosters.
Miami however gets players who just barely aren't good enough to go to Penn St., OSU, Michigan, etc. and want to stay in the midwest. Miami is returning most of te team that went to the MAC championship game last year.
Miami is improving, Vandy is going backward this year. But that is why they call it gambling, everything points to Miami winning but they could fumble the ball five times and have 15 penalties.

What alternate universe of college football have you been betting? Vandy doesn't get anything close to the caliber of athletes that the other SEC teams do, because to your point they all have to be good students as well. THAT'S WHY THEY SUCK IN THE SEC EVERY YEAR!
