Yep. Transfer portal and opt outs bottom line. Add to that a bowl game now for just about any sponsor ranging from tires to toothpaste and talent gets spread pretty thin. I'm old enough to remember bowl games named after roses, oranges, and sugar that were actually entertaining.
Agreed, I am too. These new age bowls aren’t even worth watching with action. Just submit and check final score. Playoff games are the only ones worth tuning in.
Seriously these type bowls use to be 'eh, they're not good but still fun to watch if you have a bet on' and now I can't even bring myself to bet on them. Whenever I do I happen to pick the team that has guys opt out at the last minute with no announcement, fumble punts and make every mistake possible.
These bowls are basically everything bad about college football magnified and combined. Rag tag rosters of idiot kids who can't do basic things right.
When I watch these teams I often wonder how the players earned complete ride full scholarships. The kickers can't kick. The punt returners can't catch a punt. They commit the dumbest penalties ever.
Both favorites in this game and the last game have gone the entire 2nd half without scoring a TD. USF didn't score a single point the whole 2nd half and ULL can't even score against the 120 something ranked offense even tho theyve been in the red zone at least 3 times.
