Will next years Bama LSU game be determined by safeties?

I would live to see Okie St in this game. At least SOMEONE would have a fucking TD.

Maybe they would.  Maybe they wouldn’t.

LSU is facing the #1 defense in the country right now.  I wonder how they’d do against one that didn’t even rank in the top 100.

Split National Championship? These two teams don't deserve it.

The two best teams in college football are playing.

If OSU doesn’t like it they shouldn’t have lost SU as a 28 point favorite to a 6-6 team.

The SEC jealousy in this thread is fucking hilarious.

6 straight national championships with 4 different teams.

This is the SEC’s world ladies, you just live in it.

I’m out.  Good luck with your seething jealousy.

I can't remember who was calling the OSU/Stanford game but he made a really interesting point about how OSU's D was really bad statistically.

He pointed out that because of the pace that their offense plays at and scores at that the defense then faced more plays from the opposing offense. And because of this they tend to allow more yards and points per game than most other D1 teams.

They showed a stat where OSU led the country in turnovers forced(and please keep in mind I'm not referencing this, just pulling it from memory so I may be off on some of these stats) but were something like 105th in total defense.

The OSU defense faced something like 300 more plays than Alabama's defense did this year(regular season of course) and that contributed to the varying difference in statistical rankings of the 2 defenses.

I'm not sure where Alabama's offense finished statistically in the country but they do play a slower paced "grind it out" offense.

I just thought it was a really interesting point that was made during the Fiesta Bowl.

So I'm curious to know this: Does Auburn celebrate this title as well?

I mean they are Alabama's biggest rival. Do the Auburn fans sit in their living room and cheer "S-E-C, S-E-C"?

I get that it's quite an impressive accomplishment for one conference to do this. I just can't see myself cheering the Green Bay Packers on in the Super Bowl just because they play in the NFC North and I am a Lions fan. It doesn't make me feel any better about the Lions results.

I guess I will just never understand this.
