I see Bama as very balanced, with a decent offense and defense. they can score quickly and they can grind time off the clock with a lead. The D has played very well and Texas only got 16 & 13 respectively against other big D's; Oklahoma and Nebraska. If they can shut down Fla and Teebow, why not Colt.

Saban a big time coach and motivator and he has still got to be plenty pissed they laid an egg in last years bowl game. I think Bama uses this as motivation to prepare properly and come in fully ready to play.

Looking for some balance in my thinking from the other experienced cappers. Just want to make sure I have not missed something critical before plunking down major dollars.

So far 2-0 on strongest bowl plays (Va Tech & FLA) and slightly below 50% on the rest. I like Geo Tech as my third best play and BAMA was by far my number one going into the bowl season (already put some $$ down at -5 on Dec 12). I thought the line would go up but it has gone down and I cannot figure out why other than the obvious that people are betting Texas. I really am thinking more Colt Brennan than Colt McCoy in this game and that may account for my feeling different than the majority.

I know you like Bama too, but respect your opinions and trying to get all information prior to making the play.

I am not going large because it is the championship game, I am on it because other than Va Tech, it was my highest rated differential.

Riverboy... don't want to answer for Nos, but i have been trying to find a few really solid cappers on Texas to get their take on why, and they are few and far between... Gold_Rush is one guy who is on Texas, but even he seems a little unsure about why... i am with Nos... Bama looks like a very strong play!
