3. Overrated. Very beatable but of course not by many. What few chances are there, are not allowed to happen. They have poked their heads in to see what would happen vs a UTAH or a Boise St and their heads came off. They are battle shy and very guarded. They are the best politically protective conference in all of football. They are the most connected conference within the BCS (founded by a former SEC Commish) and currently run by a southerner w/ deep connections to the SEC (Bill Hancock). They have politically owned the sport since 1998 (the year the BCS began). They are by far the most fined program by the NCAA, but have for the most part avoided death penalties.
