OKAY, CAST YOUR VOTES.  TUESDAY AT 10:00 P.M. EASTERN WE WILL TALLY THE VOTES.  VOTE 1, 2 OR 3.

    1)  THE SEC IS BY FAR THE BEST NCAA FOOTBALL CONFERENCE.

    2)  OTHER CONFERENCES ARE JUST ABOUT EQUAL.  TOO CLOSE TO CALL.

    3)  THE SEC IS WAY OVERRATED -- DEFINITELY NOT THE BEST

1 by far.  SEC has a dominant defense first mentality.  Until the other conferences realize that defense is what wins you a championship, then the SEC will continue to dominate.

Inasmuch as the top 6 teams in the country are in the SEC, the answer this season is 1.

Carter, I completely agree.  I think what happened was the Music City asked the Gator to please take MS State because the Music City did not want them two years in a row, and the SEC office stated it would not allow MS State with 8 wins to fall all the way to the Compass in Birmingham.  Also Vandy has already played Northwestern this year, thus another reason why the Gator did not want to pick Vandy.  It was an agreement between the Gator, Music City, and the SEC office I think.

I think we have a tossup between SEC and Pac 12. How would Bama, LSU or Georgia fare against Oregon, Stanford,S Cal (with Barkley) or even Oregon St or Arizona?

The SEC is the best conference however they are very top heavy. The record of every team in the SEC against the top 6 are 0-54.   Pretty amazing stat. Tenn and Auburn both have losing records?? The BIG XII has 9 out of 10 teams in bowl games and have to play 9 conference games so they don't get layups like the SEC has so the SEC can play 2 layups and only have to win 4 games to get bowl eligible. So the Big XII from TOP TO BOTTOM is the more balanced but overall in the grand scheme of things SEC has to be the best overall. What's so bad is the ACC, Big East and Big Ten are so bad.

it is hilarious... that the SEC teams play NOBODY outside of their own conference... and then, by beating up on each other every year, they manage to fool people into thinking they have all of the best teams...

does nobody see the flaw in this system of logic??????

    seriously... ?

let me explain something to all of you MENTAL friggin MIDGETS!

the SEC doesn't schedule non-conference games... EVER!  against ANYBODY!  do you not see that?  you can't claim a conference is the best, PURELY by virtue of them beating up on each other!!!!

"gee... Alabama beat the other SEC teams, and since the SEC is the best, then Alabama is the best... even though there is no barometer AGAINST WHICH TO MEASURE THE REST OF THE SEC!!!"...

    friggin clueless morons...

these are the teams your precious SEC conference has defeated this year, outside of their conference:  Florida St, Michigan, Clemson... THAT'S IT!  that is the ENTIRE RESUME of the SEC conference this year...

be very clear... you cannot count wins INSIDE OF THE CONFERENCE as a barometer for measuring the conference itself... BE VERY CLEAR... this is not my opinion... this is authority on high, because it is FACT!

just to put it in perspective:  the SEC has lost as many games against BCS top 30 teams as they have won... 3 wins (FSU, Mich, Clemson)... 3 losses (Rutgers, Louisville, Texas)...

the SEC is a combined 1-1 against teams from the other REAL conferences (Pac 12 and Big 12)... lost 66-31 to Texas... beat Arizona St 24-20...

THAT is the real resume of the SEC this year... nothing else!

so be very clear... if you are casting a 1 (ONE) for this thread... you are doing nothing more than proclaiming yourself a complete imbecile, who will gurgle down any manner of jizz that is poured down your throat...

Another long-winded Covers troll.  Don't hate because your Oregon Ducks were embarrased by Stanford.

how is it that EVERYBODY in this entire forum has failed to notice this:

Tx A&M has been consistently the 4th or 5th best team in the Big 12 for the past decade... behind OU, Texas and Oklahoma St... even with K St or Baylor... that is where they fall in that hierarchy... i don't actually remember when they won the Big 12 title last... but suffice to say, they were 2nd tier...

West Virginia was the king of the Big East, and stamped their exclamation on that with a 70-30 crushing of the best the ACC has to offer before they headed to the Big 12... now that they are in the Big 12, they are on the same level as Iowa St...

Tx A&M, meanwhile, goes to the SEC, with a new coach, and a new QB, and goes toe-to-toe with all of the big boys... and MOST IMPORTANTLY... dominates the garbage out of all of the weaker teams, which everybody has always claimed would go into other conferences and win them...

it's a load of horseshit!  we are being fed loads of horseshit by these people on ESPN, and most of you are too stupid to know you are eating it...
