so i posted my picks... answered people's questions... he comes on unprovoked talking shit to me... but there's no good reason for me to defend myself?
he did the same thing on Doubleup's thread... calling him a square... this guy can't touch me or Doubleup in terms of picks or analysis...
and yet you guys instead of defending me and calling him out, do the opposite...
and people wonder why the respectable cappers don't stick around on Covers... guys like Mr_Insight are the scourge of Covers... but people who bash the ones trying to defend themselves are the cancer! well done people...

was having a conversation with a friend of mine about a few movies with some of the hot young actresses (Scarlett Johanssen, Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman) before they were "of age"... (Jack the Bear, Man in the Moon... the Professional... The Horse Whisperer, Ghost World, the Man who wasn't There)... when you watch them now it almost seems perverted, since they have become sex symbols...
your post reminded me of that conversation... Harold and Maude is pretty damn old school...

Thora Birch was Scarlett's friend in "Ghost World"
If you really want to go Old School, how about Natile Wood, as a teen hottie, with the great James Dean, in "Rebel without a cause" All three stars died young, especially Dean and Sal Mineo. Natile was a child star in "Miracle on 34th St" and her father in Rebel, was played by Jim Backus, who was the voice of Mr Magoo, on radio and TV, and is best remembered as Thurston Howell 3rd, on gilligan's Island !!
I can go old school in football also, and got a kick watching Johnny Unitas,in "The Greatest Game ever played" after the Heisman 2 weeks ago. That,s when QB called their own plays. If Berry was open Unitas wouldn't hesitate running the same play 2 or 3 straight times
Don't get me started

you're dating yourself... my dad was a huge Colts/Unitas fan, and saw "the Greatest Game ever played" live... he is not happy with my decision to be a Dolphins fan, what with Shula abandoning the Colts and going to Miami...
that's some good movie/TV trivia... especially the Jim Backus stuff... i had forgotten he was Mr. Magoo... Natalie Wood's death still seems pretty shady...
i'm sure you are familiar with the old joke... what kind of wood doesn't float? well, you know the rest...

When Natile Wood drowned , on the boat with her husband Robert Wagner, was one of my favorite character actors Christopher Walken ! !! Her real name was Natasha.( and 2 long Russian last names) She would of been 70 this year
Ask your Dad about " Diner" a Barry Levinson film , that was shot in Baltimore and revolves about coming of age guys in 1958 that are big Colts fans The guy getting married won't marry the girl until she passes a test of questions about the Colts Great flick.
Your Dad must have been sick when they moved in the middle of the night in 1984 to Indie. That was much worse than Shula going to the fins
I love this site

i like Diner... and my dad talks about that movie all the time...
both he and my brother are Colts fans, so they were both pissed off when Irsay moved the team... they never forgave him... but at least now they are getting to enjoy some good years after so many terrible years...

I posted in your thread because of the pretentious quality of comments in ALL of your posts. I followed you because you were very harsh on other people's plays but never admitted some of your own flaws. I know I'm not the best capper on here, but I have been posting for 5 years. I have also won money each of the last 5 years. So I'm ok at it. Not great. But I don't hype up my record and proclaim I'm a good capper or critique others-as if your opinion is the only one- when you have not established anything.
Rush, Bator, Wussie, Badlands, Stuckey- those guys are followed because they are good, consistent, and have a track record. If you want to be like them someday- and it seems like that is your goal- you need to make good and consistent picks and most importantly, treat others with respect.
I'm done responding to your posts. Good luck with your picks

Insight... 1) this is my thread, so i am definitely entitled to be as pretentious as i want... however, i don't see where you are getting that, anyway... i posted my picks, i have responded to people's questions... 2) i'm not harsh on other people's picks... i will disagree... but i have never called anyone a square, or other derogatory terms the way you have, completely unwarranted...
i am not trying to be anything, or be respected... only trying to win money... i get info and feedback from this site, and that is it's value to me... not in garnering online acceptance...
i will tell you i have not lost money on a bowl season in 11 years, and only once in 15 years... this is not the time of year you want to be against me... i don't say that with pretense... i say it as a heads up... do with it what you want...
my only point is that when you pop on people's threads bashing their picks in a derogatory manner, but don't (as i've seen) post a thread of your own, it is rather... shall we say... chicken shit!
but that's your business...
GL with those picks!

jordyn, if you're talking about alt's contest, yeah that was me... but he said he was gonna do it before the games get going... i won't have time to do it again, most likely... was a bit time-consuming...
