Youre pretty far off on your rankings system here, Arkansas' D is a 5 and Petrino is a 7 compared to a 10 for Saban? I love the .2 on the offensive grade too because this obviously isnt an exact or for that instance any system its just your opinion. Im glad you bring up the dbs though because sports are all about matchups so if you know that Arkansas' pass game is its strength and Bamas secondary is their weakness it should be closer shouldnt it?
You do bring up good points about clock management and how both teams will score which I agree with and I also respect that you didnt go overboard with your final score prediction. This game really depends on who gets on top early in the first and third quarter, Bama isnt made to come from behind but Arkansas is.
Below are Bama's stats on quick scoring drives last season, against quality opponents
V Tech (2 play 54 yards .37 seconds) (5 play - 74 yards, 2.40)
Arkansas ( I play, 50 yards, .10 seconds ) ( 1 play, 80 yards, .20 seconds ) (5 play, 35 yards, 2.28 )
Kentucky ( 3 play, 37 yards, .57 seconds ) ( 2 play 38 yards, .45 seconds )
Ole Miss ( 6 play 61 yards 2.49 )
South Carolina ( 6 play, 68 yards, 3.01 )
LSU ( 8 play, 81 yards, 3.20 )( 1 play, 73 yards, .13 seconds )
Miss St. ( 6 play, 80 yards, 3.04 ) ( 1 play, 48 yards, .08 seconds ) ( 1 play, 70 yards, .11 seconds )
Auburn ( 5 play 45 yards 2.18 )
Florida ( 2 play 72 yards .59 seconds ) ( 5 play, 74 yards, 2.48 )
Texas ( 7 play, 57 yards, 3.27 )
Just because Bama usually has the lead, is no reason to say they aren't made to come from behind . Bama has he capabilities to score from anywhere on the field, a pass from Mcelroy, or a handoff to one of their backs.
