Sooners....Huskers .....Bama ....all excellent defenses....Colt had problems against the first 2,more than likely he'll struggle with the Tide's too..Choi U better hope the Horns D is as good as U think it is.....Mount Cody will destroy the interior of the Horns line and the backers will run down their speed..GL....

    No problem, choiOi

Again, none of us can honestly sit here right now and say who is for certain going to win this going. The only thing I am saying is when I make a decision to make a bet on a game, I base it strictly on statisical analysis and observation of both team's throughout the season. As well as factoring in the competiton they have played throughout the course of the season. Rather than basing it on trap line type of scenario's/public betting conspiracies. Especially a game being played for the NC.

At this point, we may agree to disagree, but I believe the reason the line is where it is at is because Alabama look's like the better team at this point. Which is not say they will cover or win a month from now, but that is just my take.

BTW, why is this thread stretched?

Bama is not unbeatable, they needed a blocked FG against Tenn (7-5) to escape with a 12-10 victory AND...barely snuck by Auburn (7-5) for a showdown with Gators.

For 30 days, I trust M. Brown to gameplan for Ingram. He has never lost a Bowl and have beaten Saban in 03. UT DBs are fast enough to play the run in a passing situation. Saban will rely heavily on Ingram to carry the load in this game and Bama is out of surprises. They caught the Gators sleeping in the passing game as Florida was too focus on Ingram only. You got to remember, Gators was feeling good since they handed Bama a lost last season. The underdawg prevail in that matchup and the underdawg will prevail in this matchup.

Lets not forget, Urban Meyer was a nobody coming over from Utah and they matched up against OSU in Meyer's 1st NC. Gators came in as a +7 dawg and ppl were loving the Buckeyes. Gators rolled them up as a dawg.........Shit happens all the time, the dawgs rule in the big game IMO.

Yaddy, yaddy, yaddy, yaddy,,,,UT will roll....

those that think horns have no shot .....seems like the OVERWHELMING reason given is  LAST WEEK'S performance (nebraska / fla).......if game was played this week....horns would get killed........but it's not......bama has an entire month of EVERYONE telling them how awesome they are.....texas gets to hear how much they suck and how bama is gonna killem.......

Colt (probably the best QB overall in the country) off horrific performance playing against (probably).....the guy that won Heisman > nice challenge for Muschamp > seriously think bama is gonna run all over his D ?....

horns can't run ?......doubt they try.....surely  Colt will be on the move most every play......they'll spread bama out all over the field......wear Cody's fat ass out.....dink/dunk bama to death (more like last year)
         * i think problem in husker game is that OC Davis felt they could block nebraska's  front.....he was overly confident that things would eventually start opening up.....if WE know their ass is in trouble.(vs bama).....surely he does .....I  would be shocked  if horns show up with a lame ass offensive game plan

appears most here are strictly "fundamental' (matchup) handicappers.......in BOWLS especially.....better factor in situational issues to a greater degree.....although in (title) game admittedly not as much a factor .....compared to lesser bowls....
It is better to be feared - than to be loved.

Don't expect to see the same Greg Mc'elory in the BCS championship as u saw in the SEC championship after a 30 day layoff...Colt Mc'coy on the other hand, has played in big bowl games in the past ( ie. Ohio st. last season ) and come up in a big way for his team.... yea Bama's defense is superior but don't forget how well this Texas Defense has stopped the run all season.. UT will stack the box and stop Ingram and make Mc'elory beat them threw the air, which i dont see him doing after a 30 day layoff... U T  27-21

I don't guys , but any team that gives up 39 or more points during the regular season , IMO , will not be champs . They may cover , but they won't win . I wish their was stat out there going back say 10 years to find if any Champ has given up that many points to a team in the regular season ???

I'm from Texas and Bama is far and away the best team Texas will
play this year and this isTHE BLOWOUT OF the BOWL SEASON!!!!

It's so obvious you would have to be insane to take TEXAS!. Don't believe this crap about Mack Brown and his BCS bowl record. THe TX defense is very, very good but offensively, they only have Colt and Shipley. Shut them down and this is the ROUTE of the century!!! Tre Newton doesn't scare anybody but his daddy chasing somes hoes at the ol' White House in Dallas. The other receivers, huh?? Alabama will blow their doors suckers.

choiIo is a total homer betting with his heart and talking out his fricken" TX ass. The main intangible is the "BOUNCE" factor for TX and BAMA reversed!! That is Texas only chance. Otherwise, it is a total SEC ass whooping like previous Big 12 vs SEC matchups!!!

This is no trap game. Alabama will crush Texas. Colt McCoy is the most over-rated QB in the NCAA.

Alabama is on a mission.  Mark Ingram told the team not to even dump the water cooler on Nick Saban after the win in SEC Championship game.  He said, "WE HAVEN'T WON ANYTHING YET"  Alabama is focused and will destroy Texas.  Colt McCoy is overrated and will be exposed with the multiple fronts that Saban scemes up for him.  But GL if you are betting Texas.

Man there is no swagger like the UT swagger. Scheduled pup teams in out of conference games......won out in a very weak Big 12........have the luck that the Irish once had.......still depends on who wants it the most....Texas could win IMHO because they may be humbled coming in against a team they know is way better than anyone they have played this year. My money says Bama has slightly better players in toto and may want it just as bad.

And Alabama didn't have to beat Auburn to play UF.

Line is too high but within reason.  Think ALA -2 to -3 more like it.

two very different defenses in Nebraska and Alabama.  like really different---i wouldn't be so fast in crowning a champ based on those performances.  i really think its a FG game either way.
