Seriously,,Bama just knocked off Florida and UT barely snucked into the Bowl with a miracle FG against who? Yeah...Nebraska.

And Bama only giving -5?????? Less than a TD?

Get ready fellas.......the books are loading up the bandwagon for Bama backers in this one.

Line will more than likely bid up to -7 or so by game time,,,,similar to the Gators vs. OU last NC.

UT is the "correct" play here...to all UT backers, of course you will wait til game day to roll your bankroll into UT cause they are going to shut down Bama's running game.

 

Just watch.......

 Have you ever thought that the books do not take into account just 1 game, especially in a national title game?? The line is about right, a little high IMO but what did you expect to see? If you say anything higher than the 3 it opened at at some places then you are just looking at this last week.....

I'm sorry but in what facet of the game is Texas better than Bama? Offense, Defense, Special Teams & Coaching point to Bama.

It wont hit 7 by gametime.  That will leave a huge middle ground for bettors who got in on the early 3 line.  Not to mention, alumni betting of big schools always keep the number from moving too far in BCS games.

Offense - Texas

Special teams - Equal.

Defense (wins Chamipinships) - Alabama

Believe me,I might be from TX, but I'm no homer. I took the 14 with NEBR. My first thought was the media crowning ALB. the champ and they have'nt even played the game yet. I've been betting football for 40 yrs. and I've seen it all before. TEXAS IS THE BET , win or lose.

Bama is one of the most conservative team in the SEC. Saban will keep this game close, close, close, game will be decided by a FG. Throw in the fact Saban's team is still reeling after knocking off Florida and now they are stepping down a conference to the Big 12...so to speak, according to the expert.

I love the dawg in this spot. UT will win this game SU, I will make a play on UT ML too!

Go ahead and throw your money on Bama -5.

That total is a low 45, down to 44.5 in some places. That in itself will tell you it will be a defensive battle as the bookmaker is giving respect to UT Defense - fast/furious. This game will be alot closer than ppl might think.

UT have a DL to shut down Ingram - do that and it's OVER for Bama.

You never know, Gators ranked #1 most of the yr and going back to last NC, they were favor by -8 vs. OU. The public IMO have already crowned Bama after beating Gators.

The public loves the SEC and there's already talk about Big 12 being a softy etc,, hang on to your seat. This line will get off of 7 before kickoff. Just wait and see.......

uh oh... money is starting to come in on texas.  now 62%/38% split, down from 80% on bama just yesterday morning...

 

at first i thought everyone in the free world would be on bama... but now it looks like there could be a near 50/50 split bykickoff with a slight edge to bama.

 

i guess vegas will be trapping no one and just collecting juice on this game.

Once again an irrelevant fact since noone on that team is on this team..

 

Alabama haven't played at the Rose Bowl since 1946.

Might want to research that and see why... The Rose Bowl banned SEC teams after Bama kept coming out there and whipping the Pac 10's ass every year, which is why they have had a Big 11 / Pac 10 tie in ever since..The only time Bama has gotten to come out there was if the NC was played there but this is Bama's 1st BCS Title game, hence their 1st time to have a chance to play at the Rose..

koko11 - your blinded by love and your in denial man. You can tap dance around the facts stated but they are still facts.

Bama won their NC last week bud. This is payback for UT being left out last season when they got duke by OU. Horns are waiting for this moment to showcase and they will show football fans they are the best team in the country after Jan. 7th.

It's been a long time coming and payback will be a bitch!

Sorry Bama but you guys are not there yet. The NC Trophy belongs to UT.

choiOi-  I am not blinded, I am telling you while everything you say is fact, it has nothing to do with this game and if you think it does, I feel sorry for you.....Bama did not win their NC last week, trust me the players know what is at stake next month, they know what their real goal is so I hope you are not counting on a let down here as a betting stratagey....I have not studied this game yet but everything you are spouting off has nothing to do with the outcome of the game...If you can not come up with any other reasons to bet on UT than that, I suggest not to bet them..
