keep in mind, prior to this past weekend, Texas would have been favored against Alabama....

Waaaaayyyy too much being read into last weekends games for both teams...

Line is too high but within reason.  Think ALA -2 to -3 more like it.

Spouting? Lol,,it may be mumbo jumbo to you cause you already have your mind made up on Bama. I am talking to deaf ears.....

I'll give you "one" of many good reasons why I will bet the Horns. Colt McCoy. Bama is not facing a Tebow who is looking to run before he pass. McCoy will look to pass before he run...hope you don't mind if I throw out some facts or #s....if you want to listen of course.

    Colt McCoy

24-1 L2 yrs, became 1st UT starting QB to record an undefeated this season. That's right, even VY couldn't do that. C

Completed 1,135-of-1,607 passes (70.6%) for 13,060 yards and 112 TDs (42 INTs) for a passer rating of 156.7. His 13,060 yards are sixth on the NCAA all-time list, his 112 TD passes are seventh and 70.6 career completion

In addition, McCoy has rushed for 1,591 yards and 19 TDs on 429 carries (3.7 ypc) and has rushed and passed for a TD in the same game 14 times during his career. In combining his passing (112) and rushing (19) TDs, McCoy ranks sixth on the NCAA list and first on UT’s TD responsible for list with 131. He is UT’s all-time leader in total offense and ranks sixth on the NCAA all-time list, having produced 14,651 yards (13,060p/1,591r) on 2,036 plays (7.2 ypp).

In 2009, he has gone 310-of-432 (71.8%) for 3,328 yards and 27 TDs for a 152.9 passer rating, while rushing for another 368 yards and two TDs. His 71.8 completion percentage leads the nation, his 152.9 pass efficiency rating ranks 11th, his 277.3 passing yards per game are 11th and his 308.0 total yards per game rank sixth. McCoy is averaging 26.6 yards per TD pass on his 27 scoring throws.

Bama will not have an answer for Colt McCoy

I forgot, UT plays "cupcakes" while Bama is SEC God......

That's the only argument you have on why Bama will win. BOL.

Bama will not have an answer for Colt McCoy

I forgot, UT plays "cupcakes" while Bama is SEC God......

That's the only argument you have on why Bama will win. BOL.

Those are impressive, now lets look at good ole Colt when he has faced a team with a defensive heartbeat this year...

    Oklahoma- 21 of 39 for 127 yards 1 TD and 1 INT

    Nebraska- 20 of 36 for 184 yards 0 TDs 1 INT

Those are the only 2 defensive teams Texas has faced this year.. Good ole Colt turns into a mediocre QB when he faces a defense that actually has a heartbeat...And once again I am not arguing with you about who will win right now, I am telling you all these stats, trends and whatever else you got has nothing to do with the matchups in this game...

McCoy is averaging 26.6 yards per TD pass on his 27 scoring throws.

koko11 - I wish you good luck cause you will need it. You and the rest of SEC are so arrogant,,,haha, it's going to hurt when you fall.

Make sure you come back into this thread and aplogize to me after the game and tell me how good UT is...I might throw you a bone for the winning SuperBowl pick.

Once again I am not talking about who will win the game, I am telling you that this crap you are typing has nothing to do with THIS game... 7-0-1 as nothing to do with this game, they have not played since 83....Bama not playing at the Rose has nothing to do with this, they have not been allowed to since the mid 40's...UT's Rose bowl win in 05 has nothing to do with this, totaly different team...Any coaches or teams records in bowl games have nothing to do with it... Mac beating Saban when he was at another school has nothing to do with it..... Thanks for the luck though but if you are betting this game for any of those reason or Colt having great stats against defenses that have no heartbeat you are the one that is going to need luck...

Here we go again with the conspiracy theories...

Honestly though, no offense to anyone person on this board, but this board come's up wit more conspiracy theories than a single episode of the X-Files. Such as "trap bets", "fishy lines", "the public is on such and such" and now, "Bama played their NC game vs Florida".

First, it is the goal of EVERY single team in the nation to not only play for in the NC Title game, but to WIN the NC Title game. Some more realistic than other's, but the ultimate goal of EVERY squad is to win the NC. Does anyone believe that Saban and his player's gathered together after the SEC Title game and said, "ok, guys. We accomplished that we set out for all year. Which was to avenge last year's loss to the gator's in the SEC Title game. Now that we have accomplished that, let's head into pasadena and roll over in the NC Title game. That game, afterall is just an added bonus. Forget about the NC. We set out what we wanted to acomplish all along already!!!"

Also, does anyone honestly believe(especially in the NC Title game) that Saban is going to look at the spread of this game and call Mac Brown say something along the lines of:

    1. "Hey Mac, the current line is -5 in favor of us. Here's how we're going to play this one out. We're going to tone it down for this game, due to Vegas setting the line where it currently is and keep this one close. Possibly(or hopefully) winning by just a FG, so we can screw all of the betting public."

    Or

    2. "Hey Mac, we're just going to roll over in the Title game and give it to your squad. Just so we can screw all of the majority of public bettor's who bet on our squad. Congrats on your title."

Talk about a WWE type of scenario.

Honestly though, none of us can sit here right now and predict who the winner of this game will be. But personally(at least until the title game is decided) I believe Alabama is the better coached and more balanced squad. Especially on both side's of the line's. Texas may have the edge at QB, but Colt has shown a tendency to not step up against solid interior defensive squad's(i.e Oklahoma/Nebraska) and relentless pass rushing attack's. Not necessarially saying Alabama walk's away with the W here, but for the time being, I believe they're the better coached and consistent squad. Not to mention that I believe Alabama has a decisive edge at the rushing attack.

Regardless of who you bet in this one, I personally believe it is better to bet the better squad(especially in the NC Title game) rather than rely on conspiracy theories.

Wasn't the knocked on VY about his #s? It's not all pretty but great players come through in CLUTCH situations.

Where do most of the SEC and the Country get their star players from? LOL...TEXAS buddy,,,good old TExas. Brown knows how to recruit and he has the best players at UT, the majority of them commit to UT.

You are 1000000% correct,,history and stats have nothing to do with this game. So tell me....what DOES anything have to do with this game?

Bama beating Florida has anothing to do with this game? Saban has anything to do with this game? Ingram has anything to do with this game? McElroy who came out of Texas and wanting to go to UT but couldn't has anything to do with this game? Game played in Pasadena has anything to do with this game? This game kickoff on Jan. 7th has anything to do with this game? UT who is a better team has anything to do with this game?

So explain to me,,,what DOES something have to do with this game other than SEC is a better Conference...base on what concrete data? So that means if UT was to play in the SEC conference, they will be the bottom feeder? UT has no chance right? LOL...your not telling me anything other than disagreeing with me and telling me I am wrong. Give me some data on how or why Bama will win and don't use history, stats, or Saban as your theory cause I've done all that ...and YET,,,I am wrong. Lol.

      Your a joke.

betmonster76 - Thanks for the post...BUT..all I am saying is, ppl are too quick to crown Bama as the best team in the country. Read the board and listen to the media right now. lol..the best team have not won the NC game cause the NC game have not play yet.

UT is a very, very good team that is flying under the radar. They are big/fast and Brown has a history of getting it done in the BCS game.

Bama backers can laugh all they want. UT will roll.........

Bama won their NC last week bud. This is payback for UT being left out last season when they got duke by OU. Horns are waiting for this moment to showcase and they will show football fans they are the best team in the country after Jan. 7th.

It's been a long time coming and payback will be a bitch!

Sorry Bama but you guys are not there yet. The NC Trophy belongs to UT.

Like I said, UT DL will shut down Ingram. Than it's lights out.

Payback for what? Alabama has nothing to do with last year. If you want to say that UT is hungry for a title shot, I will counter with the same for Alabama. Get real dude.

If you read between the line and open up your mind a little wider, you will see that UT was duke out by OU last season. That give UT extra motivation going into this season,,,thus a perfect record with ZERO losses.

Florida, BAma has nothing to do with it,,,but Bama is the road block to the NC trophy.

One thing you need to learn is,,,the underdawg always have an extra motivation edge over the favorite in a big game...a public favorite as that. This dawg has a loud bark,,,just wait til the NC game to find out. By that time, it's too late for you and Bama backers.

I can tell you UT is a better team, they are more motivated in a dawg role, etc...and you can laugh it off because your brain been brainwashed by how dominating the SEC conf. is..etc. In matter of fact, there is nothing that can make you see the light cause your mind is already made up.

SEC is not god...Texas breeds alot of great players throughout America and the majority stay right here at UT. BOL...you will need it.

ONCE AGAIN I AM NOT ARGUING WITH YOU ABOUT WHO IS GOING TO WIN YOU DUMB ASS... I HAVE SAID THAT ALREADY 3 TIMES, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE TO ILLITERATE TO READ AND COMPREHEND IT OR WHAT BUT I AM NOT ARGUING WHO WILL WIN...I AM TELLING YOU THAT ALL THIS PAST SHIT FROM THE 40'S , 80'S, AND 05 HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS GAME...IT IS TO EARLY TO TALK ABOUT WHO IS GOING TO WIN BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT THAT CAN HAPPEN BETWEEN NOW AND THEN...
