Got any feelings on the military dogs in the early games? Leaning towards Navy and AF gettin points. Like AF to cover the game a more- thinking they can cover the game with a better D and a good ground attack. Any input? GLTA

1st Half Special:  LSU (-24) 1H
 
LSU will probably cover the game spread (-41.5) against the Green Bean, but if they do, there is almost no doubt they will cover the (-24) first half spread...
 
i'm not generally big on first halves... but this is a game where stupid stuff could kill your game spread even though they are way up at halftime... if LSU is up by anything less than 35 at halftime i wouldn't be that thrilled with LSU (-41.5) for the game anyway...
 
as for the game... i read a report that one of the team buses for the North Texas football team has been having problems with the built-in GPS system... they're thinking this might explain why the defense didn't show up for the first two games...
 
it's not bad enough that this is arguably as big of a mismatch as you can have in BCS level college football... or that LSU is off of a bye... throw in the fact that NT really doesn't want to be here (no really!)... the remains of Ike will be ravaging their local neighborhoods while this game is being played...
 
wouldn't be surprised if the scoreboard says 21-0 when NT comes out of the tunnel... LSU will do most of their damage early, and then show some class by playing their cheerleaders most of the 2nd half...

Mannix... don't have any strong opinions... i think i would like Houston if anything, but don't know alot about AF right now... the Navy - Duke game seems like it is usually kind of unpredictable... i would say look at the history on that one... if Navy has been dominating then maybe pull the trigger... if Duke has been keeping the games tight i'd stay away...

added one last one before morning...

Stan (+14.5): look for a very close game and a possible upset... D-line of TCU is young and not as strong as the past, and Stanford plays physical up front on offense... Harbaugh knows this is one of those big name teams they can knock off, and i expect him to have the team ready...

 

will most likely have a pick for the Fresno St - Wisc game tomorrow for my last bet...

Found ur threads so far quite intriguing, and good reading.  I was already all over CMU (-3) and CAL (-13.5) for the early games. And leaped on USC earlier in the week at (-11).

I am kinda surprised tho i just dont see any1 at all on Clemson tomorrow morning.  And to boot, havent seen anybody on the UGA/SC under either.  SOmething like 11 straight game it has hit the under, and i mean it hasnt even come close to the number put out there for today.  What ur thoughts about those 2?

Kansas last night +3.5 glad i bought the 1/2 pt....
 
still looking at
smu tx tech.....but how is the weather going to be...
oregoon -8.5 might be to many pts for me
georgia -8.5 again might be to many pts for me as well
penn st. is syracuse that bad
might even go with the stanford game....was also looking at it
will pull the trigger on the usc just waiting to see how i do on these earlier games
want lsu but again the weather.....

GL today sheperd... Had Kansas +4 1/2 last night. Today I'm with you on Cal, Oklahoma, USC. I also took Auburn and Georgia. What do you think of over 33 team points for Cal?

for some reason i woke up this morning and had a feeling that oregon's varsity team would show up at Purdue today. -71/2??? is Purdue for real?? Any thoughts?

ouch!  Cal was full of mistakes today... losing Best early didn't help...

i'm still in shock over how the Stanford game ended... one of the worst beats i've had in a long time...

i don't really think Purdue is for real... this is one of many games that has been all about turnovers and misqueues if you have been watching it... been a crazy morning so far...

thanks Bruschi... honestly, if (fingers crossed) i can hold on with CMU i have a winning morning, and with some of the crappy luck i've had i would be fine with that... these early picks were some of the ones that made me more nervous...
