Season has flown by fast!!

Play #1 - BYU - TTECH Under 49 x 2U

- I fully expect BYU to throw the kitchen sink plays on offense but it will only buy them field position and mostly FGs or turnovers on 4th down attempts

-this is an NFL style defense for TTECH...I am excited to watch them play one of the big dogs and really see them crank it up

- this is their dress rehearsal to send a message on defense to everyone in the Playoff

- offensively, they will try to protect Morton, since Hammond is out I think for the rest of the season....so play action passing off of successful runs ...when wishing to pass downfield farther than 15 yds or more....otherwise, safe passing plays to keep Morton

healthy

-I have a ton of respect for this BYU defense which is sometimes very nasty and they are extremely well coached positionally and I expect them to have schemes to prevent run success so the first Q should be a meatgrinder 

- its gonna be a long time before TTECH plays again so expect a complete game from them featuring what they do best

Final score 24 - 13 or 31 -13  < tops - TTECH wins

Play #2 - Georgia - Alabama  OVER 48 x 1U

- playing on a fast turf where I expect the defense to not have much advantage and scoring from long plays appearing occasionally with a strategic type of game 

- both teams will lay it on the line as a sort of dress rehearsal for the playoff and Alabama will want to keep this tight at the bare minimum because I believe, they should not be in the playoff if they lose (badly > more than 7 pts ) ....I have a ton of respect for Simpson as a QB....I think he will be a dynamite NFL QB ala Brock Purdy- like in success or better 

-Georgia is humming on all cylinders right now so both teams should score well

Play #3 - Indiana - Buckeyes Over 47 x 2U

- hammer this in my opinion ...I don't want to blow my wad yet but I think this one is worth a punt 

- Lucas Oil field is a high scoring turf with two fast teams who wish to lay the gauntlet down on each other and I believe, Indiana will be more motivated than Ohio St....... sounds weird saying this, but +4.5 for Indiana was the way I was going to go, but decided the total was better....Buckeyes are elite-complete....Indiana is faster than them in some positions so this one will be a get the popcorn game out and watch them run the score up....ala Indy Colts with Manning vs New England with THE GOAT at QB 

Should be some fun football to watch ...

TTECH is my upset team to win it all..... and yes, I will be taking points in every game they get points

This CF PLAYOFF is wide open in my opinion.... Buckeyes are not as hungry in my opinion....having won already. They got their big scalp of revenge on Michigan and now the target is on their backs the rest of the way.

A team needs an edge, unless their talent is way above all others and I don't think Sayin at QB puts them into that category. What happens when they face a team that can sub in RBs that can do damage and have a potentially as good or  better defense vs Sayin and young Bo Jackson? ....and a NFL Draft pick secondary??

If Texas were in it, they would do some damage like the Buckeyes did last year but maybe not win it all..... they have really found some balance and hunger and now executing.

Ohio St vs Georgia FINAL ..... Buckeyes win by 4-8 pts for a 2nd Championship

Looking at it, I see an error.....BYU has to be #15 ...they beat UTAH

Texas is in for a few reasons:

- gave Buckeyes a strong first game challenge as #1 preseason and almost backed it up

- beat Oklahoma on neutral field

-Oklahoma beat Bama....

As a result, Bama is out and it opens the door to the best ACC team now to enter and another SEC team replaces Alabama

I think its pretty obvious from watching both Indiana and Ohio St, they are 2 of the four top teams

My top four are (not what I think PC will pick):

1. Ohio St (most complete team)

2. Texas Tech (2nd most complete on both sides of the ball)

3. Indiana 

4. Georgia > well coached but are their offensive stars gamechangers?????? Against a Big10 or Texas Tech defense? 

Best coaches of Playoff Teams:

1. Kirby Smart

3. Dan Lanning (steps down from #1 on my list after watching him make some unique decisions on playcalling)

 Love Cignetti but Georgia can beat Them AND Ohio State...Tech is the sleeper team..would love to see Longhorns sneak in. Rematch vs A&M would be delicious 

The Big10 fog is lifting off of their competitiveness potential for sure...... and we can see that there are hungry teams wanting to beat the BUCKEYES and I like Cignetti, but I always thought he was a coach that had the great game approach but could not put it all together off the playing field, and its obvious that its changed now in that perception

Texas deserves to be there more than ALABAMA! << I like this program but I have to pay respect to how a team responds from early flops and finishes the year and who stands out are Notre Dame and Texas and that is what you want in a final tourney

Texas defense is elite and their offensive line is starting to show its pedigree..... you cannot say the same for Alabama, as much as I think Simpson is one of the best QB makeups in all of college beside Mendoza and a few others....the line and funky play calling I feel from their OC and gameplan, hurt Simpson these past couple of weeks and he kept them in the game until they had to face Georgia in the Championship and all was exposed from their weakened units and approach

Something tells me the Ducks are flying under the radar and so is Texas Am too

Buckeyes now got their hands dirty so I expect them to be very motivated now....

Also, NCAAB basketball....my team to ride so far for good cash has been Wolverines whenever they play a top 50 team....absolute gold  and I think they have a Final Four /Win it All type of team so long as they stay away from injuries 

Play #1 - Oklahoma -1 x 3U 

- I really really like Simpson as a QB and think he will be good in the NFL .... I really liked DeBoer at Washington and how he prepared his team.....but there is something funky going on with his team management and decision making since coming to Bama. I watched Bama hold back key players in one game (almost lost with Playoff invite chances on the line) and then vs Texas, they seemed uninspired 

-Mateer impresses me a lot and I think with Concepion at WR, he has someone with dynamic hands and 'getting open' ability to be the guy that they need to get the ball into scoring position....OKLAHOMA also have one of the BEST FG KICKERS in college football and I think that will be a factor .... I can see a 10-13 pt first half for the Sooners with the lead and turnovers giving them FG chances in the second half with ball control playcalling forcing Bama to play from behind much of the game and swimming uphill vs one of the greatest defensive coaches at home with crowd and a killer unit to support his playcalls from the sidelines

- Venables stat: - perfect 5-0 on his career if calling defensive plays and is now, when facing a team a second time in his career

- add the homefield in a sport that means as much to Sooners fans as it does to Tide fans...... too many edges tilt toward Sooners in my opinion vs taking a talented Crimson Tide team that seems 'off' as the season winds down

Total: I want to go OVER on this as all PLAYOFF games hit > 45 pts in the first round last year BUT..... with a strong FG kicker for the SOONERS and defense....I think Venables will push the field position mantra the whole game and put the pressure on Bama to defeat their defense and home crowd so ....can see a 13 - 7 first half or 13-10 score.....and then Bama scores 1 TD only playing behind and taking risks to catch up or take lead but NO FGs in second half and Sooners score 2-3 FGs or 2 FGs and 1 TD.....FINAL TOTAL will end at 37-39 in my opinion, which is why VEGAS did not risk putting this at 42/42.5 area I think

Play #2 - Miami +3 x 1U  (coinflip game in my opinion/ no thoughts on Total)

-been waiting for AM to falter all year long .....remember, they were 'sort of' in a re-build but had nice pieces that really came together and Reed really pulled the train for them to get to 10 wins with great talent on defense buying into the mojo

-that S.Carolina game was an eye-opener and Miami has a nasty defense with a chip back on their shoulder and this could be the deciding factor....looking around the season as it unfolded.....we are back to good offensive teams with great defenses taking over and beating close opponents like in years past. Ducks scores are a good example....Indiana and Buckeyes when they play strong teams

- SEC football is in transition this year in my opinion...its strong but lacking killer instinct (Georgia 2nd half of season excluded from that assessment).... Cristobal has put together an SEC type of team in my opinion with ample speed and size ....will HE get in the way of this game? I like Elko as a coach much better but I can honestly say, this is a coinflip game and I think Miami is going to make a statement breathing a sigh of relief that the Committee is confident in them over Notre Dame getting the nod to play this game...... I do not think Tex Am could beat ND and that would have been a high scoring game but this one, I am not so sure....and I think Miami will be in this one down to the wire, but know I will be betting on Texas AM late in-game if they have the lead ....I do not trust Carson Beck to drive down the football field down by one score late in the game....I think Miami will have the lead late in the game and hang on....or just get bumped late but not by 4 pts

I am pretty sure we will see blowouts in the other two games....

-Ole Miss has the best chance to cover their line in my opinion with a powerful/angry display of football showing both Kiffin that he is an a-hole for abandoning them.....and their crowd that they are not just another 3rd best SEC team but better than that and a real contender with all the talent they have on both sides of the ball

Ducks are definitely a sleeper with a talented team and great coach ....they are the 'Buckeyes' of last year and will need Dante Moore to act like Howard did last year and take some risks with his legs and out of the pocket where he is dangerous throwing on the run...... and they could upset any team that has too many turnovers 

-now that I see JMAD lost by 14 to the Cardinals, it supports that I believe they can score 13-14 pts on the Ducks defense but Oregon's offense should be able to get 35 or more on their homefield letting their hair down and sending a message

-I actually think it would be BEST to show more variety of plays from Lanning on offense to give TTECH a lot to think about for their matchup as TTECH's schedule did not really include a lot of teams with dynamic athletes using the full field opening up gaps on their defense which is fast and great....BUT.... speed athletes can exploit those gaps and Moore and company have that ability when they open things up with their playcalling ....rarely did we ever see TTECH defense look out of position so if you can do that, some of their athletes might over play their position or begin to develop doubt in their ability

TOTAL looks tasty ...... 38 or 41 pts for Ducks - 13 pts for JMAD puts the game

Play #3 > Ducks-JMAD OVER 46 x 1U

Kind of leaning to the UNDER now with Oregon game with the receivers that are listed as questionable....no reason to push them so I thing this game is going to end up 31 - 13 .... 34 - 10 kind of score for the Ducks.....

I want to bet JAMES MAD +21 but I don't know....

If I see -16.5 on Ole Miss, I am jumping on it today....curb stomp coming up in my opinion 

With you on Texas Tech. I'm hoping Oregon routs JMU today and is favored in Lubbock on New Years Day. Red Raiders all day baby!
