It was a certified mystery spot last year with HC Entz's first game .. they really struggled doing much vs KU and turned around and blew G.SO to smithereens .. this team is .. er .. just has to be better than they were a year ago .. I think USC is maybe with the DL and the offense on another level this year .. we'll know soon .. Fresno was out gunned trying out the new QB just in every way .. some his fault some not .. It just lines up as a major get right spot .. I can't see Sac hanging in there unless they really find some maybe lucky downfield passing like blown coverage etc .. Fresno DC is the guy who had NIU's D nationally ranked a few years ago he absolutely knows how to handle the worst of the worst MAC team's Pass attacks .. yeah idk bake in some Fresno mistakes and I still think they can go like 42-7 here and basically same spot / same result like they had last year ..
I would be careful with the total that thing has gone down quite a bit and if SAC's D is what I think it is and you got a team trying to show something on offense after showing literally nothing vs USC's nasty D .. yeah just know SAC State's D is not USC's D, think at best case is heartburn and heavy sweating in Q3 hoping Fres makes dumb mistakes and WR's drop balls etc .. I don't think Sac will hold them to FG's if bulldogs can get their drives into the red zone .. - good luck!

You can prob find 49.5 but its mostly layin odds and then they;ll jerk the SGP odds on you further ... BM has fair odds and honest calculators for SGP's so we're taking Tex -122 and O50 -107 for the 2.5-1 shot here .. I think there's alot more to like about both offenses and yeah defenses have ruled recently in CFB but I think Texas had clear problems on their OL last year and the WR's weren't necessarily super stars it just pushed them into slower / lower scoring games esp in the SEC .. Like the prospects of the offense being on the money this year with the OL looking matured and they landed some MAJOR DUDES esp Coleman at WR and kept some very solid on offense here with the OL .. Hard to say at RB I think Smothers is certainly a guy that can take the RB1 dude role .. Brown we'll see not a great first game but they got him for a reason outta ASU .. Arch got his own wheels too ..
Some worry for OSU's QB he's so on the money plowing thru most of the schedule .. but the BIG BIG games were pretty tough on him .. pretty clear he wasn't ready for the pressures and doing the things a QB gotta do in close games .. picking up the first downs, not taking the sacks .. not throwing pick 6's .. QB sneak was a disaster .. and that stuff is just the makeup of what a QB is then gets foraged in the heat of battle .. its why we loved Pavia and Haynes King just always dialed up in the clutch and even Mendoza while he didn't have many of those moments but he answered the call in a big way every time .. Sayin Just wasn't "that guy" .. Just Sayin ..

Couple of fun SGP prop bets for Army courtesy of B365 .. We're looking at S.FLA and seeing the major offensive imbalance and some of that is on FIU just shooting themselves in the foot at every turn .. they went TO on downs twice 2 picks and lost a fumble .. pretty much every USF scoring drive was short field .. FIU murdered chances in USF territory near the half with a big penalty and clock died .. their D still held USF to 4 field goals on mostly short fields their one TD was 35 yds out ..
USF has a very good FG kicker from the Gramatica Clan and 3 years of NAILING 50+ yard field at a solid rate and nailing everything else .. it tells us that we can expect they trot him out to sink some long balls in this one .. I'm hoping Army's D can keep them out of the end zone or we'll be on life support with some of these plays in a hurry .. Army D has some questions of course but I can't imagine FIU is all that good and they kept USF in check offensively most of the day 208 total yards nothing hit longer than 15 yds .. I think Army's offense is maybe a gem this year and probably finish drives with TD's or be smart when they need to and make USF drive the field .. don't let them get 20 yards and their FG kicker sinks points on em.. that's a bit of a gambit here because Army loves going on 4th .. But yeah I could see USF be fairly inept again on offense and Army keeps eekin things out putting points on the board in a real clock draining sorta game .. think we could see 28-3 here if Army's D is not DOG DOOO ..

Forgot to carry this one over .. fun pre-ssn play .. I wouldn't play this now for more than fun bucks .. Now that we're here I don't know what to make of Mizzoo but Austin Simmons had a nice day in the opener and he's obviosuly no Trinidad Chambliss but he was Kiff's boy for a few years and before T-CHAMB showed up he was next up to command Ole Miss and rode the backup bench for 2 years doing fairly well and starting the bowl game for the '24 season he had a big day .. he's not a major dude but he can play .. and I think will be an upgrade from Pribula in the turnover department .. no guarantees there though but Pribula found himself making dumb decisions under pressure and maybe Simmons can avoid that .. We can also point out that Mizzoo did very well in their easier games particulary found themselves in a tough gm vs KU last year going down early and storming right back .. I'd hit them in-game again if we see that tonight I think Drink has the guys just on another level at Mizzoo and I love Leipold its just KU I think made it clear they aren't trying to spend the money and get the players they'd need .. what we're still seeing from KU is coaching and heart .. good combo .. they really need to develop the talent ..
This is a MASSIVE game for both teams Kansas - Mizzoo rivalry goes back a long time .. these states had their own Civil War amidst the actual Civil War and its a big deal reviving the old B12 rivalry esp now with KU being deemed competent to play a football game .. Prob not the bright move to lay points with a team that is certainly not as good on D but I am not big on what KU has in the tank this year their best grab in the off season was getting Liepolds old OC back Andy Kotolnicki .. think he has his hands full but if Isaiah Marshall can be dynamic and throw the ball here .. not just do it vs LIU .. then KU could be a really fun offense this year and I'd expect the total goes over .. hard to say if he can really throw or not tho or how the OC will plan to use him here .. it does have the potential for KU to produce some fireworks ..
