Too bad the chance of a BIG10 season is so slim.
Quote from Buckeye's Eleven Warrior site;
Fall camp is just beginning, but the Ohio State vs. Michigan rivalry is heated as ever.
During a Big Ten coaches conference call on Monday, Jim Harbaugh reportedly interrupted Ryan Day and accused the Buckeyes of breaking rules with impermissible on-field instruction, according to a report by Bucknuts.
Day reportedly dismissed the accusations, telling Harbaugh, "how about I worry about my team and you worry about yours?"
But the fire didn't stop there.
Later that day, Day addressed the team in a meeting, telling the players that Michigan better hope for a mercy rule this year because the Buckeyes are "going to hang 100 on them." Day's comments were first reported by Bucknuts, and confirmed by ESPN on Thursday.
Day was asked about the comments to the team in his Thursday Zoom press conference, but elected not to answer.
"I appreciate the question," Day said, "but I'd rather not answer that right now."
Day's comments seemed to rub off on his captains, who were a bit more direct than usual about the rivalry when they spoke to the media on Tuesday with both Justin Fields and Wyatt Davis saying they wanted to "beat the brakes" off the Wolverines this season.
It's not even September and the rivalry is already in full swing. And we don't even have to wait as long to see it all play out on the field with The Game moved up to Oct. 24.

Per ESPN , the Supreme Court has denied the NCAA's motion to pause the
lower court ruling thay OK's expanded benefits to student athletes.
This might pave the way for a total shutdown of Fall sports while the
NCAA tries to develop a comprehensive strategy going forward.

PAC 12 has joined the BIG in calling off Fall sports.
They are considering the Spring as an option , but
I think players that are bound for the NFL , and other
circumstances will make Spring Football an unlikely option.

Hopefully that might push some schools to play....nobody is gonna play in the spring, the draft is 4/29.
Plus, if teams do play...they finish what May/June?.....then turn around and start again in 2 months?......
>> more lawsuits.....

Not to mention Spring Camp in February in the BIG . They could be conducting

or frozen ground, hurts himself ............ lawsuit

Well , If we've got the BIG 12 , ACC, and the SEC . That's OK with me.
I'm sure we could find a bet or two every week.

Big 12 should release the new schedule tomorrow morning, 1st games will be played Sept. 26.
SI : "AAC, Sun Belt & C-USA continue toward a 2020 fall football season, AAC presidents met today. C-USA expected to meet tomorrow."
SEC then ACC, rest will follow probably.............

haha...you would think P12 / B10 must reconsider...
CAN YOU EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE HOW PISSED PLAYERS AND FANS WILL BE IF THEY DON'T...

Man....that's gonna be SO great to watch.....all this "it's all about the player's safety"
So now, you take all that back?....they'll say "well after consulting with the premier epi. / virlogists in the world, and considering the LATEST research.....we don't think the RONA, is gonna be all that bad" ........

BTW.....to clarify of course, above means they're gonna try to play.
Students return to school for a few weeks....all hell could break loose.....season could 'end' really at any time

ESPN is reporting that multiple members of the Vanderbilt Football team have elected to
" Opt out " for the 2020 season. Players include leading tackler Dimitri Moore , and 3
Offensive Linemen.
The Harder you Work , the Luckier you'll get.

Something to add to the covid ATS impacts list... G-5 Playoff consideration...
With 3 P-5'ers its the best odds the G-5 will ever have to make the playoff... The situation sets up even better for them with the extended conference only schedule since more opportunities for playoff-worthy teams to meet in the reg ssn ... Perhaps the best resume scenario for a 4th P-5 might be say UF and Bama both run the table and conf champ loser still gets in ... also possible UGA beats bama => loses to UF => dawgs miss the champ game => would expect they get in the side door ... but seems like many more scenarios where the 4th best P-5 resume has 2 losses on it... maybe to the same team like UGA losing twice to bama and beating everyone else... Also with ACC and BIG-12 playing like one big division its really unlikely one of those 'awesome resume but miss conf champ game' scenarios emerges from them.... Funny feeling we end up with some pretty messy resumes for the 4th best P-5 team this year ...
But how that all plays out is irrelevant ... UCF with super awesome perfect resume is just G-5 opponents and committee could be like let's see ND lose to Clem for a 3rd time ... Early season you gotta think that any undefeated from the cream, and maybe not so cream, of the G-5 crop is not gunna at least try to enter the playoff sweepstakes and shoot for a WOOD-LAYING resume rather than the usual 'explain that 6 point East Carolina win resume' ... maybe totals / team totals / 2nd halves on the undefeated G-5 trend is 'X' marks the spot early on ... and after first loss could be more like SELL MORTIMER SELL!!
Good luck...

I am around a college campus and know some athletes. When the athletes are working out, doing team activiities, etc, they are very safe, with plenty of distance and masks at all times.
Then when they go back to their apartments, the masks come off, and they don't care about COVID. There are not many students around yet, and the area has very few cases, so it is still safe now.
But a lot of students will be returning to campus in the next week or 2, so we will see. I'd say about half of the regular students that are around wear masks.
If the NCAA can get through September then I think there will be a full season and possibly a postseason. But September will be tough IMO at a lot of places.

UF starting WR trio Copeland, Toney and Grimes not seen at first day of practice today, unclear why..... Besides Kyle Pitts at TE there are zero returning receptions from LY outside those three... Gulp...
