Slick15, you're ignorant if you think Tre Mason runs for 148 yards against the Tides stingy D. Alabama is powerful on both sides of the ball. Everyone is so worried about AU scoring on UA but in reality the concern should be, How is AU going to stop UA???

They allowed 220+ rushing yards to Ark, MSU, UK and LSU!! 120+ to every other team beside W. Car & FLAT. I got tired of counting the times that teams threw for over 250+ yards on them!! Have people forgotten that they've barely won most of their SEC games. LSU sliced them up. I assure you that AU's front 7 or front 4 isn't as good as LSU's!!

Don't be naive people, AU is a fraud that is about to be exposed. Tide 31-17!

    Bama -10 (4U)

and i also read your quote that Auburn might get to DD if they get a "Georgia type bounce".

boy are you in for a very very very huge surprise on Sat afternoon.

you Bama honks do not get it, do you?

your D is nails vs vanilla, conventional offenses, like VaTech, Ole Piss, LSU, etcs.

when an offense has dimension and a fleet-footed QB, your D wilts like it did the L2Y vs John Football.

well guess what?  Aub's O has dimension (better passing gm than you think as it plays off the successful run) and their QB is fleet footed.  is Marshall another John Football?  of course not.  but i would put his mobility and the brain of his coach Malzahn, against any offense in the country.

i cannot wait until Sat, cannot phukking wait.

This is something I don't agree with as it seems foolish, but since you won't put your money where your mouth is, why don't you put your covers life on the line?

I'm so sick of you egotistical chest thumping. What happened to your unmatched knowledge? The guaranteed amazing season? You stopped posting plays when you were what 21-20?

Either put up or shut up. I'll give you Auburn +14 loser leaves. Again, I'm not a fan of people doing this, but you're even worse than Boom.

And please, don't agree then make ridiculous terms to get out of it, there's no fine print, lawyers, real contact information, or money that you don't have.

I have likened this game to the 2011 national championship game, because I think the match-up of Auburn's one-dimensional offense vs. Alabama's defense is very similar to LSU's one-dimensional offense versus Alabama's defense.  When I say similar I don't necessarily mean similar styles, but the game plan will be similar in that both teams did/will try to beat Alabama's defense on the perimeter with their run-game.  Just as it was in the national championship game, this is a huge mismatch in favor of Alabama's defense.  Everything I said about that game applies equally to this one.  Specifically, this is what I said then that applies equally to this game:

***  Auburn will have no success running the ball.  They'll rush for less than 100 total yards, and average in the low 2s per rush (at best).

***  The only chance they had of methodically driving down the the field and scoring is to consistently make plays in the passing game.  Because that's not likely to happen, their only real shot they have of scoring a touchdown will be on some sort of a big play by the offense, defense or special teams.  That certainly could happen.  If it happens in the run game, which I don't think it will, that will most likely blow up my statistical prediction in my previous bullet.

***  Because Auburn will be completely dependent on the big play to score, this game has shutout potential.

As I have said previously, I'll give Auburn credit for scoring 10 points in this game.  I just think they'll have to have a stroke of luck to get there.

I watch more Auburn than anyone. Believe me.

Alabama has the personnel to stop Auburn's run game in a way other teams cannot. Believe that.

I took Auburn +10.5 because I'm not a good handicapper. I come here for advice from good handicappers.

    BOL to all

well guess what?  Aub's O has dimension (better passing gm than you think as it plays off the successful run) and their QB is fleet footed.  is Marshall another John Football?  of course not.  but i would put his mobility and the brain of his coach Malzahn, against any offense in the country.

i cannot wait until Sat, cannot phukking wait.

Saban has faced the Malzahn offense on 3 previous occaisions, and at no time has Malzahn's offense had any success running the ball.  Saban knows this offense as well as Malzahn himself.  There is nothing he can come up with that will remotely surprise Kirby Smart or Nick Saban.  Nothing will change in this game.  Alabama will once again completely stuff the run game, and Malzahn knows it.  That's why I expect to see Auburn come out throwing the ball in an effort to open up some running lanes.  That's also why I expect to see quite a bit of Jeremy Johnson.  He's the better passer of the two.  None of this will work mind you, but it certainly should be entertaining.

@jimmy: It was a while ago, but Auburn went 32-for-151 on the ground in 2009. I wouldn't call that a run-away success, but 4.7 ypc isn't hideous.

Russ Mitchell from College Football News pretty much hits the nail on the head in his Paul Finebaum interview.  Skip to the 39-minute mark.

Jimmy, you were very sure in discussions with me back in Aug, that Bama would score 40 pts on VaTech.  well they scored 35 and 21 of those were non-offensive pts.  so you were wrong even with 3 non-O TD's.  all you did was make excuses that Bama played vanilla, yada yada yada

you were quite certain that Bama would cover 9.5, as was your nowhere-to-be found buddy JWHEELS86.  then when it does not happen, you talk about the luck A&M had to cover the spread.

what will your excuse be after Sat when Bama does not cover the 10.5?

that will be entertaining to read.

Bama fans are getting their panties in a collective wad because so many of us are saying AUB +10.5 is the play.

where were you in the shitt-years before Saban got there? did you defend your team so ferociously? no of course not, you were nowhere to be found.

they have had great success under Saban, but that does not mean they are the right side every time they take the damn field.

AUBURN  +10.5 is the right side

sparta-junk still does not understand that the only reason i come here is to make fun of degens.  i have less than zero interest in getting to know you so i can destroy you with a wager.

jimmy wanted to wager with me on bama to score more than 40 on vatech and jwheels wanted to give me a&m +10 vs bama.  i destroyed them both.  i'll do the same to you.

i already have a nice wager on auburn +10.5 and i know if i win i'll get paid.

all you are is a bama home degen fukk with a big mouth that sukks sabans cock.

your net worth is probably 4 digits or less.

    no thanks.

some of you keep mentioning the last second win vs miss st:

that was early in the year when auburn was still finding their way with a new coach and new qb, and yet they found a way to beat a serviceable sec team

some of you keep mentioning the lucky tipped pass vs georgia:

fair enough, it was very fortunate, but even if they lost that's a very, very good georgia team even with the injuries, georgia has moved the ball on everyone they've played, everyone,  so i give credit to aub for even being in the game,

some of you look at those games as fortunate, but there is another way to look at them which is the positive side that auburn took care of business.

you don't stay in this gm for 32 yrs and have profit to show for it unless you look at things from all angles

Let's review.  I won my 1st half and game bets on Alabama in the Alabama/Virginia Tech game.  You lost your Virginia Tech bets.

I won my 1st half and game bets on Alabama in the Alabama/Texas A&M game.

You're the only moron on Covers who calls out posters when they win, and brags when the lose.  Everyone who posts plays on a wagering message board posts both winners and losers.  There are no exceptions.

People who expend time and energy "calling someone out" for posting a losing play is pretty much the lowest parasite on a message board.  If Covers were a competently moderated message board, all posters doing it would be banned.

You might try getting laid once in a while.  Maybe then you wouldn't have to derive your manhood from a message board.

the wager was going to be that Bama would not score 40 offensive points, that was my wager, you took it, wanted to wager 100, i said minimum 1000, you said no.

    Bama scored 14 offensive pts.

you and JWHEELS told everyone within earshot that Bama would dominate A&M,  then after the game you told people here and on CTG that you had Bama -7 so you pushed.  what a crock of BS

you also posted on CTG back in Sept that you would not post picks anymore because you simply were not posting winners

wow. just wow.  absolutely unreal that you keep talking.

    you suck
